I've only had my provari mini for a few weeks but the feel of it just screams lasting quality to me. Think of it like this, you pay for a good tube that is durable. If electronics crap out and it's out of warranty, its only $60 to have the board replaced. Everyone seems to say customer service is good with provape. So there's the love: quality/service.

The hate seems to come from those who would say you can get a vv device for so much cheaper than a provari.

Best bang for your buck is an MVP V2, but I dont know how you feel about box shaped devices. Its about the same size as a pack of cigarettes, VV/VW no PWM (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...aste-mvp-dont-vape-same-provari-dna20d-3.html) and the 2600 mAh battery lasts FOREVER. Provari is fabulous if it is what you are looking for (solid well built VV PV) its made in the USA, has a great warranty/repair set up and its flawless at performance within its category of existence. Sigelei is probably the next VV/VW manufacturer that I would place in value to be a long term sturdy VV/VW device.

Check out the APV section here on the forum, there is one for owners for about any device manufactured - check out their threads and you can find out all the dirt on anything that interests you. Also check out reviews on youtube so you can see the ACTUAL size (everything seems to look bigger or smaller than it actually is somehow???) and see menu function, specifics, etc.

Good luck!

I have had my 2 provaris for 14 months and 12 months. I have dropped them, abused them and used them constantly. All they do is work correctly. I have used "good" batteries and "forbidden" batteries (ultra fire, or something like that) with zero issues. I bought 10 18650's on ebay for $16.00 a year ago and the Provari works correctly, all the time.

If you have the money initially, the Provari is a great choice. It will outlast a couple of iterations of cheaper mods so you may save in the long run. It will also give you a very satisfying vape. It shines compared to many models in terms of a consistent delivery of voltage to your atomizer....no on and off spikes like a large number of regulated mods. The customer service is superb and there is an army of knowledgeable and experienced folks in here to help you out with its use or with any issues. Its solid and reliable.

I own several ProVaris and would quickly recommend one to anyone wanting a quality device. They're extremely good. There is a ProVari 3 coming out soon...no details on whats new but I have my suspicions. Either way, I seriously doubt you'd regret purchasing one...and in the event you did regret it, they have an excellent resale value. I love all of mine and they get used everyday.

I want to upgrade from my iTaste Leo Pro to a VV/VW. What would yall suggest in terms of something I don't have to worry about dying in 6 months? Provari seems like a love or hate kind of thing and the other mods I've looked at sound good on reviews but nobody has mentioned how they hold up over time.

Well if it's manageable for your budget might as well get the Provari.

I was planning on upgrading to a provari until I ran across a thread on DNA boards and did some research on those devices. I finally opted to go with a Vaporshark DNA 30, it was a little less than a provari and it provides a bit more flexibility, as well as being small enough to stealth vape no problem. I still plan on picking up a provari, the vast majority of what I read on them is highly favorable, but I think I'm going to hold off until they update their device (or find a good used one on the cheap).

If you really have a case of that "longer than six months" paranoia you should seriously look into the Provari - because it comes with a one year warranty. If you are one of those people who can kill a PV just by looking at it funny... There is a lot to be said for the quality of parts in this thing. Having blown $80.00 on a Tesla that had a fire switch that only lasted 90 days - and only came with a 30 day warranty - I'm not about to repeat that kind of experience again. The switch in a Provari looks like it belongs in an aircraft control panel.
