Ironically, you can send in your Provari with $40, and tell them which color tube you want, and they will replace the tube.

I am not sure that is a good deal or not? A whole new one will only cost $159 OR $179 (Gold not even worth mentioning). That is 22% of the cost of a new one for the upgrade. I dunno, maybe it is a good deal?

I'm confused. Are you saying that you believe people are selling their Provari's because they didn't live up to their expectations? That's the first I've heard of this. Did you do that too? I winced when paying for mine as times are tough now. I haven't regretted the decision one bit.

You also said that there are way cheaper mods that are every bit as good. I sure would like to get one as a backup or to sell at the brick and mortar store I want to open. Can you tell me what devices are out there that are every bit as good that are way cheaper than the Provari?

I agree and I did the same and have not regretted it! I have contemplated selling it, but I know I would get another one anyway.

Well, if you just want a different color, $40 is significantly cheaper than buying another Provari.

Yeah, I know. It's actually me thinking about whether I should do it. I really want a black one, but I could also use another ProVari by itself...decisions, decisions!

Just in...

ProVape has no such option as to switch bodies for $40. (I knew that sounded off!) It must have first come from someone talking of getting a damaged body replaced, but even still, that would only be replaced with the original body.

Also, my guess is that if people were selling their Provari's in masses, it very well could be related to the new choices available--quite stunning I must say.

It would be quite an endorsement if people were selling their current Provari to help fund the purchase of a new one. That would correlate to the way people sell a used car to buy a new one.

That sucks... This is where I first read it: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/320392-refinishing-my-provari-2.html#post6868773

You can see how it would be interpreted the wrong way.

Just an FYI for anyone that has a finish that is damaged but you don't feel comfortable painting it yourself you can send it to Provape and they will replace the tube with a new one of your choice for $40.00

Well, it is just a theory, but it is a huge coincidence that these ProVari's being sold also corresponded with the release of the new bodies. Once again, just a theory. I am sure some were sold because of being disliked, but I highly doubt if that was the prevailing circumstance.

Yeah, no problemo. I hope you didn't take this as a comment on you doing something wrong or anything. It is a simple misunderstanding, that's all. It happens to the best of us and I think you are probably among the best of us. ;)

I took no offense. And thank you. Just glad that got straightened out before someone potentially lost out $40 over a misunderstanding...

Ask me how I found out! hahaha. No, I didn't waste my money, but I sure had my $40 ready to go. Luckily, the awesome people at ProVape let me down easy.

Seems like a place they could get some extra profit though... I mean, if I ever got bored with the way my Provari looks, and they had a different color I wanted, I'd be willing to go even $10 over that and make it $50 to switch...
I mean, assuming that your Provari is the current model, and still worked, a new different color body would feel like an all new Provari when you got it back.

The only problem would be a flood of those requests. Luckily, we have the classifieds. Think about the resale value of a ProVari: If your ProVari is in great condition, you could sell a used one that originally costed $159 (satin standard or satin mini) easily for $139. A difference of $20 dollars. The difference between $140 and $179 for the upgrade would be, of course, $39 (essentially the $40 we were going to spend). Plus, on the classifieds, people are willing to buy because there is far less wait time, so you (or I ;) ) could first purchase the ProVari we would like and sell the other once the new one is our hands. (Of course, that is assuming our finances allows it.) Either which way, I love the classifieds and implore us to use them to our advantage for selling or buying. I also need to plan my attack on getting a new body! LOL

p.s. I agree that would be cool if we could do it the other way, but I highly doubt that would ever be a viable option for ProVape.

I hate to think that one day I might have to send my Provari in for service for some reason. My eGos would be fine in the interim, but they feel like a Bic Bic pen after getting used to the heft and feel of a Provari. When I pick up a 1000mah eGo, my first thought is, "This thing has a battery in it?".

I love eGos, think they are great, and vaped mine for 2 years prior, but there's a big difference in ergonomics.

That's why I'm saving up to get a Provari for backup... Im doing the change jar thing though. In a year and a half my Provari still performs like the day I got it so I'm not stressing over getting a backup.

I have a rather BIG jar, it's more like a decorative piece of furniture (about 2 ft tall) that happens to be "jar-like." It's 2/3 full! The last time I did it I was able to take a couple trips to California with the money. I love saving coins! I spend no change and I save any coin I find. If something costs a nickel, I pay a dollar for it and save the $.95.

Back when I actually used cash for transactions most of the time, I always had a considerable amount of change in my pocket when I came home. We have a coin roller machine and I'd drop it in there each night. Every year right before vacation we'd take the rolled coins to the bank and deposit them. There usually enough to pay most of the beach condo rent for a week.

Nowadays, we fill up the same large plastic tub container in about 3 years instead of one year! Using a debit card cuts out all the change in your pocket. Of course, the change is still in you bank account, so the effect is the same when vacation comes around.

A Provari fund using pocket change wouldn't take long to accumulate if you have 3 or 4 quarters a day. Six months and it's done. It's a painless way to accumulate funding, IMO.

I have to admit, when I go into stores and see people leaving change on the counter or in the take a penny cup, I clean it out. :D I have literally seen people not want their change because, I guess, "change" ain't cool?! How silly! I want a new ProVari, I think I will go to the gas station and see who doesn't want their money, or change. LOL

The funny part is that all that change you didn't save in a jar may be embedded into the plastic of your debit card. It will be spent on something. Why not a good VV mod? Putting it into the jar just makes you aware of its existence.
