What are your thoughts on the ego evic? My buddy sells those but I am intrigued by the provari. Juat curious what you guys and gals could tell ne.

Thank you!

Noob

My thoughts on the Evic are that it's a great mod. The problem with it in my eyes is that the price is a little high when function wise it seems so similar to the Vamo except for the firmware stuff you can do with it. For the average user I don't think it's worth the price difference unless you really care about things like puff count etc but that is just my oppinion. I know there are ways that you can have the voltage or wattage change in a single puff or something (I'm not sure how to describe it accurately) but again for 150$ I can get like 5 vamo's which do essentially the same thing as far as what I care about... which is clicking a button to get vapor and variable voltage/wattage. I think the evic maxes out at 5v too btw.

Edit: If in your mind it's between the evic and the provari I'd say Provari all the way but I should note I have neither.

Well for me personally.
I bought a Provari mini.
It is my favorite go to device.
Matter of fact I'm using it as I type this.
*Blows A Cloud*

The menu seems a bit cumbersome at first
But you will master it in a few days.
Either way I don't think you can go wrong
With either. But if you want a smaller form
Factor. Mini Provari all day ;)

There are a Lot of people who Like the eVic. I tried one for about a week and it wasn't for me.

Where as I Didn't have any problems when I tried it, there seemed to be a Lot of Bells and Whistles that could go wrong.

It also seemed like it might be Fragile and might Not Survive some of the Drops my other PV's have Survived.

I had the luxury of actually holding a eVic & ProVari. Just by Quality of build alone, I wanted the ProVari. Both menu systems can be a bit wonky at times, but really the decision is up to you. YOU will be vaping and carrying this thing around.

The eVic's firmware can be upgraded by the owner. The Provari can get "upgraded" by purchasing a new board. (whenever V3 is released, probably not for awhile)
The eVic has VV/VW. The ProVari has VV.
Both have short protection, temperature monitors, and battery monitors.
The ProVari maintains its voltage from 100% battery charge to about 3.4-3.2V. (I dont know about the eVic, but im assuming it drops voltage under load)

ProVari is made in the USA. eVic is China. (this was the selling point for me)

Evic is an excellent device ($75 at Fasttech for the ). It is delicate, I have three, two heads popped off and ripped out lead connections. New ones have screws to keep head on now. Best display in the marketplace. Best user interface in the market place. Upgradeable, pass thru, ego threading, variable voltage, Ohm's meter, etc.....a feature rich APV. Underpowered at 5 volts, did I mention delicate? Three eVic's for the price of one Provari (full kits). I get both, but if I had to get one, I get the Provari. Simple, high-quality, accurate vv trumps limited power, less accurate vw every time. Comparing the eVic to the Vamo is silly. The chips and features are different, the quality is different, the capabilities are different. Clearly, the eVic is a magnitude or two higher than the Vamo. I wanted to know about all these devices and more personally, so I did buy all of them. Still, it's personal, subjective and a matter of prioritization. You like what you like. There is no right or wrong. Here's my take on best to least, as it relates to THIS THREAD ONLY:

1. Provari
2. eVic
3. Vamo V3
4. Vamo V2

My two cents. Welcome, happy shopping, good luck, Power up and Vape On!

I agree with the comment above! ProVari all the way! I have 2 and had to get the fiancé one because it was so good!
Also have the eVic, and albeit.. A nice device... It honestly sits in my vape cabinet. The eVic has some great features that even the ProVari doesn't.. But as far as a solid vv device goes, the ProVari def comes out on top for me. It just lives up to the hype. :2c:

I don't personally have an evic. I think its a cool idea, but I know there have been some complaining about the durability. I have purchased several Provaris. I love the product so much, I know I will be using them for a good part of my life (yes they are built that well). Now that I am satisfied with my Provari collection, I haved moved on to buy other APV's more for hobby at this point. If I were someone who wanted to upgrade their APV and was thinking of the Provari then buy it. It will not disappoint and is worth every penny IMHO. You will get the best vape and longevity from it. The other devices will always be there to purchase later if you choose. Get your number one device first if you are ready for it!

I love my Provari mini. So much that I purchased 2nd one. Originally when I was doing my research it was a choice between the Provari and evic. The software and all the things I didn't want finally landed me on the Provari. The menu is simple and fast to get to and it works perfectly til the battery is completely drained. Also I like the looks more and it really feels like pure quality holding it.

I use it with the Kanger Protank or the e baron dripper.
