My first Provari I screwed up the zip code. I called the USPS when I realized my mistake. They told me the shipper can only make changes.
The gal at Provape tried but she got the run around also. Eventually it went back to them but she called me every move with tracking up dates. They did not charge me additional shipping costs even though it was my screw up.
They went way above and beyond IMO.

    Hear hear.
These threads always devolve into the same thing....a few die hard provari fans tossing snarky comments at anyone who dares bring up a perceived fault/detriment (often the same few), and then cry foul if you dare reply in kind

Well of course, they would be as much fun otherwise.

It's kinda like poking fun at someone that's driving a Ford instead of a Chevy.
Actually this thread has been here for about 5 years, and is probably about 40,000 posts long. ;)

So what other PV has ever gotten that much attention?

Just get a Mopar. I know we were all thinking it, so it's time to say it.

    YES!

    What's a Mopar?

This goes back to keeping ones spouse happy. Not that she could not have bought it for her self, she wanted it but would not spend the money.

One fine example of a mopar product. The 2015 Chrysler 300C

MOPAR used to be just Dodge but now it is dodge/chrysler/jeep :p

(this buys a ton of vapemail forgiveness btw.)

    What's a Mopar?

It is an abbreviation of MOtor PARts, the original name for the Chrysler parts division. It is an affectionate nickname for Chrysler cars, particularly "muscle" cars of the 60's and 70's. I have found in my experience that they drive more smoothly, with even better power, when vaping on a Provari. :D

The problem with ProVari is that they're marketed to an extremely miniscule group of people. I firmly believe that if they start marketing to appeal sub ohm vapers like aspire is, they'll pick back up for sure. ProVari may not be anything special when you take away quality, but people still buy them for that vaping status of owning a ProVari.

...and somewhat validated too (here). As stated, I like mine but am far from in love. I've had more issues with my one SX Mini, in just a few months, than I've had with all of my Provaris combined (most of which are 2.5 years older or more).
    • The screen has frozen on me many times, which is but a small annoyance (remove & replace battery to resolve), but not a great indication for the future.
    • It's easy to mistakenly switch modes (Soft, Standard, Powerful) and end up in a place you didn't think you were, nor that you wished to be.
    • I need my glasses to read everything but the wattage (strictly a personal issue).
    • My S class is heavier than most of my other mods, and the M class is just stupid-heavy.
    • The gyroscope control thing is (highly subjective >) downright idiotic.
Again, I like it and will likely keep it. But I'm not sure the word "likely" should be part of a mod that I've had but a few months. Do I regret purchasing it? Absolutely not. But I also don't see a huge difference between it and my $50 IPV Mini, which I actually almost prefer to the SX at certain times.

The only times I've ever sold a Provi was when one was being replaced with another Provi. I can't say with confidence that the same will hold true with my SXM.

Everything stated here is nothing more than one person's opinion, but I won't lie; the thought to sell now (while the mod is still "hot") has definitely crossed my mind.

    Time will tell...

If you are having a freezing issue, why aren't you sending it in for service instead of just writing your isolated issue off as an inferior product vs a Provari? You can Google search Provari issues as well and find people with defective units. Should their opinion of the ProVari be what yours is of the SX Mini?

And yes, it is heavy which is subjective. I personally like the solid feel of my SX Mini vs my IPV. It's a much higher quality aluminum and all the screws/buttons are stainless.

You say it's easy to mistakenly switch modes. How? The down button switches them. The down button after switching to the preset menu with the up button, lowers your watts or joules. The UI is very simple and allows you to change your ramp time on the fly. And your device has a firmware update available which which adds some things including the ability to shut your gravity sensor off. You should also see if it fixes your isolated freezing issue before sending it in.

And saying you don't see a difference between the SX Mini vs your IPV doesn't give you much credibility. It's not just the features that are more advanced but the quality of the vape as well. Saying you can't tell a difference between the SX Mini and the IPV Mini 2 is an argument very similar to one's I've had with biased people claiming that their $30, 20w iStick vapes no different then a ProVari.

The best regulated devices around consist of Evolv's DNA 40, YiHi's SX350 and ProVari. I just feel that ProVape charges a bit too much in 2015 which for some reason, ruffles a lot of feathers around here. I mean how dare somebody find a con around here about an ECF registered supplier.

Really? It seems a poll on a vaping forum would show otherwise...

I still don't get the status thing... Not even a Stealth P3 is more than 3-4 cartons of cigarettes...

Mopars are not often seen in the wild, except for this view:

Fleet of foot, the Mopar keeps most watching it's taillights moving off in the distance. It's aggressiveness knows no bounds, so this behavior suggests they are staying ahead of the pack to protect them, perhaps so as not to shame them. Admirable.

Which is a lot of money to most people. Even the latest & greatest are deemed too expensive by the masses who use Innokin, eLeaf, Sigelei, Smok, SMY and IPV. And the price I think the ProVari should cost would still be too expensive to most of them.
