Anyway, nobody is likely to change anyone else's mind about anything in an internet argument, but as long as we are all buying our own devices and juice, what does it really matter to anybody else what we each choose buy and use?

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. But, people love talking about it. At the end of the day, like u said, people are gonna do/buy/use what they want.

This stuff is entertaining. A bunch of anonymous people on the Internet arguing about electronic cigarettes lol. It's great.

While there's no way to prove it, I don't think they're selling them at the rate that Provape anticipated. They seem to have a lot more discounts/sales than they ever did in the past and the price of used provari's in the classifieds have plummeted over the last 4 months.
I agree, I've noticed the drop in interest in the classifieds. And Provape did just release the 2015 Classic, a revamped 15 watt ProVari with the new connection and priced in the 150-180 range. My best guess is it is a re-packaged P3 board throttled back with a pared down menu.

Wait a minute. What gives you the idea that I'm getting upset? I'm just discussing the product as I would with any product.

I guess I misunderstood this post

Well threads with 16 pages of bickering made me take a voluntary vacation from ECF so I didn't eventually get myself banned.

They seem to have dropped their asking price by 20% about a month ago, and are having sales on top of that. Companies don't drop the asking price on their flagship model by 20% if they are selling well.
Good point, it will be interesting to see how they proceed in the future.

I guess I misunderstood this post

My point of that post was that when these threads get heated, it turns into a lot of misunderstanding and twisted words which is why I took a break for a while. I'm noticing that in this thread already. I find ECF to be one of the harder places to discuss.

Sure they do. I think it is just market adjustment and they have probably paid off the new equipment they had to buy to make them. There are plenty of companies who have perpetual sales...

Its like that with everything If I want to start a fist fight all I have to do is go to pretty much any redneck bar and say Chevy sucks;)
People are passionate about some things and some take a negative comment about their coveted posetion as a attack on them.
Then there are a few who just like to argue and toss out hooks to keep things going.

The problem with ProVari is they need to step up their game. The vape and materials used on a ProVari are far better then an IPV, iStick or MVP. But compared to a DNA 40 (now that the glitches are fixed) or a YiHi SX350 type mod, they really don't seem to be worth it anymore.

    WHY?????
There are plenty of high wattage PVs on the market. Tootle puffers deserve to have nice stuff too.

If they were selling well there would be no need to make a market adjustment.

It's the same as on Apple forums with Androids who constantly complain Apple OS is closed or iPhones don't have the features they feel they need, or Ford Focus fanbois on VW forums complaining the Gti is underpowered. I don't care if companies I don't buy from go out of business- that's the nature of business; odd so many others do...

Just my opinion ... the v2.5 Provari used to sell for about $180.

When the P3 came out, it entered at $280 ... ProVape has been discounting their current stock for a reason.

I believe shortly, we will not be able to buy the Provari v2.5 (just like you cannot buy the v2).

I believe ProVape will only have 2 devices available soon ... the $160 Provari Classic and the $200 P3.

The $90 Provaris we are seeing on sale during their Memorial Day sale will be gone forever soon ... I doubt ProVape will ever make another v2.5 ... once these are gone, I expect ProVape to return to their regular pricing model and their usual sporadic sales.

ProVari 2.5 Mini - Gun Metal ZenKote™ - Special of the Week

we shall see what happens in due time ... but, get the Axe? ... not happening.

That's been the "special of the week" now for three months ;)

Perhaps that was the wrong wording. I guess I just don't see anything that ProVape is doing that justifies a price at or above Evolv or SX350 devices.

All three chips are very premium compared to your typical Sigelei, eLeaf or Smok device. With the exception of the "budget" Hcigar DNA 40, the device materials and build are top notch. But the downside is, the features of the ProVari are a bit lackluster compared to the competition. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what makes a Provari worth the same price if not more then these other devices besides perception.
