Perhaps that was the wrong wording. I guess I just don't see anything that ProVape is doing that justifies a price at or above Evolv or SX350 devices.
All three chips are very premium compared to your typical Sigelei, eLeaf or smok device. With the exception of the "budget" Hcigar dna 40, the device materials and build are top notch. But the downside is, the features of the ProVari are a bit lackluster compared to the competition. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what makes a Provari worth the same price if not more then these other devices besides perception.

On a side note: I have yet to see any chip evolv puts out that's worth a premium.
ell the bugs even killed off their own in house mod the darwin.
Even busardo gave them a thumbs down
Sort of, at the time p3 was designed everyone was complaining for a vw provari, swearing up and down, I'd buy a provari if it only had vwWell, I'm not going to disagree because I do thing the P3 @ $280 was a marketing error. There is just little to no advantage to be had moving from a 15w V2.5 to a 20w P3. Both devices are still aimed at the same market share.
While I realy like my high wattage boxes I do not think they will take the kind of beating my Provari has. I have 2 one has blue LED and is home for the Zatty pro with blue orings. The other has been dropped more times than I can count. used hard and still works. I just dont think any other regulated mod can claim to be as rugged as the Provari.Perhaps that was the wrong wording. drop any evolv, sx or any other of those chip mods in a toilet.....dry it off and see how long it works. (evolv and yihi mods are among my favorite regulated mods, btw). Or, drop any of them off a building...(i had a p 2.5 survive a 5 story fall).....Perhaps that was the wrong wording. I guess I just don't see anything that ProVape is doing that justifies a price at or above Evolv or SX350 devices.

I guess its what each person places value on. There are lots of people who would take a car that looks cool and has good sounds over my well used F250 4WD that is mechanically sound. But thats ok I can climb the embankment or do a Uie in over or threw the median and get out of the traffic jam while they look on annoyed in their pretty cars. Some will just always think more power and inexpensive prices equal better...

The issue isn't who can stuff the most watts in a box. That's what you don't seem to understand.
Except I'm not exactly talking about watts or else I would be rating a low end Sigelei 150 over a DNA 40.Some will just always think more power and inexpensive prices equal better...

That depends on whoes toilet. In certain circles a Provari dropped in a famous or notable persons toilet with authenticating documentation might command a high price.Well I wouldn't vape something taken out of the toilet anyway![]()
Perhaps however an SX Mini or DNA 40 is also much heavier then a Provari and will have a much harder impact. I could see a lighter cylinder taking much less of am impact since a box will fall like a brick.drop any evolv, sx or any other of those chip mods in a toilet.....dry it off and see how long it works. ummmm.....ok, oberon. That must be it. Happy boating! As for water resistance? Those devices might not be but my low end IPV2S is as shown in P4Y's introduction video. I use mine while boating and swimming.

I agree 100%....but in the days of the ProVari vs. xxx days a year or so ago, the ProVari in the toilet was a pretty powerfun argument. I forget who did it, but there was a guy who did it on purpose after another member did it by accident. I just figured I'd blow the mothballs off of that old story.Well I wouldn't vape something taken out of the toilet anyway![]()
Nobody said heavier means better. There you go again, Steve. Making things up to be right. I'm pretty sure I rated all three pretty comparable in material quality. The Provari just comes up short with a lot of features which should remove some of that cost in a competitive market. And it's not just watts like you apparently assume.Of course, heavier means better. The Ti ProVaris just fall apart when dropped...
