Hey guys. I have been slowly working my way through this thread (partly hoping that by the time I finish my Provari will have shipped lol!) So I've been reading that some units were sent out that had the low battery sensor that was too sensitive. Has this issue been resolved? I know this thing will be absolutely amazing, but I can't help but want it to be perfect. Can anyone set my mind at ease?

The one I got a few weeks ago, hasn't had the battery indicator problem.
My understanding is that they are working on a way to just disable the light from flashing.
The problem isn't that the indicator is too sensitive, but the battery voltage changes under load.
(Or something like that.)
Anyway...it's an intermittant problem, which they are aware of and doing something about.

Another note...my ProVari was damaged during shipping and they sent another one right away.
This company is awesome & has great customer service.
Rest assured that they will not be leaving customers hanging in the wind.

Good to hear AG. I suppose I can be comforted that if there is a problem they will be there to take care of it. Thanks for the reassurance! Now, just gotta get back to waiting... ARG!

The device is working as it should regarding the low battery alert but we are finding that it is annoying some, so the plan is to tie the low battery alert feature into the LO mode. So if you have the LO mode turned off than it won't alert you about the low battery.

This seems to be the general vote on how we should change it to make it better. :)

I was going to place an order. Is this issue a reason for me to wait for the improvement?
Just asking.

I wouldn't think so...it's going to be a couple of weeks before they ship your unit anyway...as I indicated...my battery indicator doesn't flash until the battery is at 3.3v...it's just a matter of reprogramming the unit so the indicator can be turned off when you set the unit to have the button not light up at all...it has absolutely nothing to do with functionality of the ProVari.

stu,

I noticed that you live in Myrtle Beach -- I'm in the North Myrtle area... If you want to try a Provari, I have one and would be happy to let you give it a spin.

You're not taking it out of my sight, of course.....

I posted some Provari battery results in another thread. Thought I'd post them here as well for those with battery questions:

I've been testing 2 different batteries this week. Here's what I've seen:

I have used an IKV V2 carto. It's 2.5 ohms. I vape it at 4.4 volts. I vape heavy all day long - even at the office.

Having said that, I get:

10-11 hours on the AW IMR 1600 mah batteries before the light starts flashing. It flashes for quite some time. I don't know how long, as I've never had one completely drain before I go to bed which is when I put 'em in the Pila charger.

5-6 hours on the Ultrafire BRC 3000 mah batteries. Completely dead at 7-8 hours.

This is my observation after repeating this test twice this week.

What really cracks me up is that my vape time / cost ratio is almost identical... I paid almost double for the IMR's - and for this particular application - they're worth every penny.

Just saw the lead time......back up to three weeks :( Is this because of those updates. I would really like to know when that will be available before I order mine. Or if I order it now will I have an option before it gets shipped. Thanks

We should have some info on the updates coming this week.
Nothing internal has been changed for the provari in the updates. Just eye candy... But thats all I can say... Plus some other things we are working on. ;)

If our orders are still weeks away (4057), will we be able to modify our orders to the "update" options I ordered already, but alot of people are now waiting on ordering to hear what the big news is and now i'm wondering if I should have waited. At least if we know we can edit our orders, people will commit their orders now with no worries. Not that there is any shortage of orders...lol. Eyecandy? = colors or new finishes?
