Just wanted to provide an update on my situation.

Provape shipped me out a replacement unit via Express mail---very cool.
In the interim, my original unit started to work perfectly. Who knows, I could just be a .....:p but my original unit seems to be working perfectly and I am really enjoying it.

I just want to thank Provape to jumping into action as soon as they thought there was a problem. Just another way they have shown themselves to be a top notch supplier who will surely be getting some addition business from yours truly.

Thanks again for your patience and kudos to you on a great device backed by a great company.

thats great...glad you are liking it!:)

hi all,

just got my Provari delivered! :D

but after taking just one drag it now comes up with a "E4" error message which i think is a DC/DC converter problem! :(

can someone please advise asap!

cheers

scott

update:-

if i remove the battery and re insert then i can use the device again, but after around 3 or 4 drags i get the E4 error message again :(

well that is precisely what i was hoping to do mate! lol

but as it stands i get no vapour due to the E4 error :(

im REALLY hoping (and praying!) that i dont have to send it back to the states for replacement as ive been waiting ages for it to be delivered (due to christmas postal service, not Provape!). otherwise it could be a month before i get a working model :(

i just saw what you wrote up top!. that's horrible that you are having problems with your provari and especially after having to wait so long, i cant even imagine the frustration, it would of been awesome to see one of you're reviews on this too :\..i hope it all gets straightened out quick and everything is ok :D. btw are you using the IMR high drain batteries?

I wish there were more videos of the provari on youtube..the 2 that are on there just isn't enough...i would LOVE to see a video of someone showing the vapor being produced at all the different volts, throat hit, taste, how large it is in comparison to something like the silverbullet etc

Hit Twitter, search on the hashtag #20seconddrag and there's a series of mini-vids using both a Cisco 306 and standard Joye 510 at various voltages. Yes, mine has arrived, and all is well. I'll do a first look at Sublime Vapours on USTREAM: The UK based Electronic Cigarette channel - reviews, news and comment for beginners and experts alike.. in four hours or so...

hi mate,

yeah im using the recommended batteries.....these are the ones i got:-

AW IMR18500 3.7V Battery - Cloud 9 Vaping

the battery actually does say "18490" on it, but according to the site its the exact same thing as the 18500.........anyone else using the same batteries?

ive tried different atomisers too (510's and 306's) but nothing changes. i still get 2 or 3 inhales and then the E4 message rears its ugly head :(

cheers

hi mate,

here ya go:-

cb = 4

ao = 2.2

Was your battery fully charged? It shouldn't be reading 4.0 off a fresh charge. More like 4.2 (ideal) or possibly 4.1/4.3 (although 4.3 or higher is indicative of a charger problem). Have you tried using a different, fresh battery? What voltage setting are you trying to use?

hi mate,

well it was a fully charged battery that has had around 3 inhales worth of use, lol. it does start at 4.1 but after about half a second it drops to 4.

i have just put in another fully charged battery and it now reads 4.1

cheers

scott

ps.....since checking the cb and ao readings ive not had the E4 error message............yet! but ive just managed 10 inhales in a row without any issues.

im not getting my hopes up just yet though, lol

Either your battery charger is undercharging your batts or your ProVari isn't reading the voltage correctly. Fully charge batts should read 4.2. You're getting a reading of 4.1 which dips down to 4.0 almost immediately. I doubt that is the source of the problems with the PV but I would suggest looking for another charge like a Pila or WF-188.

Nah...my readings fresh off the charger (3 different types) has pretty much been 4.1v...with the IMRs anyway. Have not thrown a regular ol Li in there yet.

Odd, mine come off my WF-188 at 4.2 pretty consistently. Am I wrong in my understanding that undercharing can be just as bad as overcharging? Also, how quickly does yours drop to 4.0 in your PV? igetcha stated it was seconds on his from fresh to 4.0.
