Provari vs. Vamo

Okay first of all I know they are not really comparable devices, but for the record I really don't care about VW vs. VV. Yes I've done the research and I have heard that VW is where its at, but still don't really care about that. I currently am using a knock off ego 1100 (First buy, discovered its not a genuine Joytech after the fact, still performs decent for an ego). Want to move up to something better. However if in the long run I'm going to end up getting a provari anyways I'd rather do it now. I just want lots of vapor, a little something to tinker around with and explore VV. I love the look of the pink provari. But if I'm going to drop that kind of cash I want to love it. ow decent really is the vamo? I've read a lot of mixed reviews. Some say their crap and break easy, others swear by them. Now I know everyone has their own opinion, but is the provari worth it? Should I take the dive now? Or go with something WAYY cheaper to explore VV? The guys at my local shop all told me to stay away from the provari, and go vamo, that the provari wasn't worth the price. And no, they don't sell vamos. I'm a gadget freak in all the rest of my toys, and have waited until now to dive into VV now that I've been using the ego for awhile, and gotten the hang of it. The ego twist just looks boring to me. I'm just kind of stuck on where to go from here. What do you think?

Don't have a Provari, but obviously I have heard excellent things about them.

I can say this about the Vamo... If you have the time and patience to deal with any of the little issues that might pop up: from questionable workmanship, to inferior parts, to bad soldering; the Vamo could be for you. I have 2 and love them. And yes, in have had some issues with them, but nothing a few dollars and some time couldn't fix.

Out of the box performance with excellent warranty service: provari. Tinkerers delight with excellent performance: Vamo.

Or just buy both :D

The main difference between the two to me is how the provari acts with everything. on my vamo, zmax, and seg-zmax every attachment acts the same IE cartos, clearos, atties they just don't feel that much different. On the provari a 306 acts like a 306 a 3ohm carto acts like a 3ohm carto and so forth. I believe it has to do with the rattlesnake chip set that is in the vamo and others.

do yourself a favor and get yourself the provari i have two lavatubes, two vamos, two zmaxs one from smok and one from sigelei a few box mods and two provaris mini and standard.
the two provaris are all that i use anymore the others get handed around to friends and such, its not that they are bad devices and all work ok but i have had to replace a vamo and a zmax both at one time or another and non have worked as well or as flawless as the provaris have.

youll notice i have two of pretty much everything its because i never trusted them when i went out so i would always take two in case one gave me issues which did happen pretty often, the provaris on the other hand have been 100% dependable and i have just recently started to just carry one because of it.

so save yourself the money youll end up with a provari sooner or later, most people do if there serious about vaping.

If you're willing to spend some amount of cash and want the best of it, then yes a provari would totally work out for you. The vamp is it not bad at all, even for its price, it's totally worth it as well. Both devices have VV and they still work the same way.

But to answer your question... A Provari all the way.

Wait for Provari to do VW and in the meantime get a Innokin iTaste SVD. The Vamo performs great but it is a bit chinzy -cheap and scratches easily. The lavatube is good but VV only. The Zmax is also excellent (about 70% of a provari with VW) The evic is fantastic if you mod it with BOD by LEO or Siam Mod tubes.

bad advice there...
Evic is chinzy and more cheap feeling then the vamo. The SS vamo is tuff mod to beat at 40 bucks, not sure what the deal is with yours or if you even have one. I hope your giving feedback after actually owning one.
Trust me I own vamo, evic, 3 provari's... Use all of them as well.
If your on a budget get the vamo, if you got extra get the provari. Cant lose either way

And. when did provari say they are going to do vw.. and why.. ?

Go with the sigelei zmax it's the best PV by far. Better menu and screen then the provari, plus you get VW. Takes every ego+510 tank, carto, clearo without an adapter. If it breaks, which it won't, just buy another and another and another and you still haven't spent as much as 1 provari.

I have both, I use both... So this should come as no surprise...

If you only have $50 to spend, get the Vamo

If you have $200 to spend, get the ProVari

We could go round and round about what makes them different... Both are very usable devices... I think for me the biggest reasons to go with ProVari over Vamo are - Fit & Finish, Warranty, Superior Electronics, Size. It's built better, is physically smaller, has better voltage regulation, and a one year (2 year extended if you pay extra) warranty.

To me, it's worth the extra money to get a ProVari now rather than waste it on inferior devices over the years. Trust me, I have no buyers remorse... LoL... That's a ridiculous claim...

VW is a gimmick. I played with it for a while on my vamo, but went right back to VV. You can't really set it and forget it. Try going from a 2 ohm to a 2.4 ohm dual coil and you'll know what I mean. The dual coils need a bit more juice to really make them sing.

With that said, 2 sigelei zmax's will run you about $160. You will need at least 2 because it WILL break will before a ProVari. One Provari in the blem section will run you as low as $140 or just get a first run one for $160 (same price). The screen may be nicer and the menu more elegant, but the build quality sucks comparatively.

I'm going to get the ProVari, not because I want to spend $200 on a mod but because I've read and read and talked to people who have owned MANY mods and they ALL say the same thing. I had a (insert favorite bargain brand here) and it ended up (insert random problem here) so I eventually spent the $$ and I wish I had just bought the ProVari first.

YMMV

Yes I own them all. Evic with a BOD by LEO -read the post matey before you mouth off. Provari will do VW because it is an improvement and the latest tech. They are currently behind the times.

And here is a picture of my Vamo -which frequently separates at the middle and is scratched to hell. It is worth $40 dollars.

The Innokin SVD is a much better unit all round.

And why would I trust you?? You don't come across as sounding particularly trustworthy at all. :)

I have a Vamo and a few others but not a Provari at least yet. If you have the $$ I would go Provari. Vamo is OK but not built the best IMO. I have a few issues with the fire button always working or working right, sometimes I get a weak vape and have to press the fire button again to get back to full power. It scratches easy and in 650 mode is long, really long. In the Vamo's defense it not really meant to be a once in a lifetime device either. If I get 6 months from it before it falls apart then I figure I got my money out of it. It has a place in the vaping world I think, especially with someone who isn't sure they want to go VV or know if they will be vaping in the next few months. You get what you pay for with a Vamo.
