PT help

Hello,

I have a question about modding a PT. I posted it in the modders forum but cannot get an answer. I figure it should be a simple answer, so maybe someone here can answer it for me.

I have a 510 PT that doesn`t work. I put a meter on it, and I get 5v in, it even charges the battery, but no voltage coming out. Is it possible to just cut off the battery, hard wire, and have a 5V PT?

I would wait to get a real answer. I tried that, and no go. Did not work with mine.
