Been vaping for 2 weeks, so a newbie. Using a smok X-Priv/V12. I found that lack of flavor, juice spitting was a problem and I would varied watts and air flow up and down without seeming to find a sweet spot. Sometimes I would hit it right and get flavor and then it became apparent to me that I needed a constant draw before I could achieve a correct watt and airflow setting. When starting out I was a bit timid and my direct to lung draw was weak and would vary a great deal. I noticed that the Mod would report the puff time duration and I now try to maintain a constant which now produces much more consistent results.

Welcome to the forum! Glad you found what works best for you. I had a bit of a time initially doing mtl then dL. Finally someone told me not draw as hard on the vape like it was a cigarette just use a slow even pull. That made all the difference for my vaping satisfaction.

Sounds like you are on the right path. :thumb:

Vaping is not as easy as smoking. Often it requires a different draw technique, experimentation on wattage settings and adjustment of air intake on the tank. You may find that different gear setups require different techniques, settings, and adjustments. We didn't have to worry about that stuff when smoking.

The good thing is once you've gained experience and knowledge, vaping can be more enjoyable than smoking ever was.

Only because you are new to vaping, may I suggest that you read Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper.
