Purchased CE2 Clearomizers, and not having any success... Help!

Hi Gang,

I decided to purchase a couple of boxes of the CE2 Clearomizers that everyone seems
to love and give them a try. I got them yesterday, filled a couple up, and have been
having issues since.

In one, my mix is 60/40 PG/VG and in the other it's 70/30 PG/VG. The problem I'm having
is that I can get one good hit off of each one, then if I try to take another puff shortly
after, it gets worse and worse until it starts getting really burnt tasting and burning my
throat. I can flip them upside down and all of that, but the only thing that seems to work
is to flip them on their sides for a couple of minutes, then take another puff. After about
four or five times doing this, they start to fill up in the inner tube and start gurgling and
juice goes everywhere but where it should.

I started looking for fixes to this problem, and everything I can find refers to a second
seal under the first (mouth piece) that you can remove and disassemble the unit. Well,
my Clearomizers do not have this 2nd seal. Under the first seal or plug, is the coil and cup
which appear to be glued into the tube and you cannot remove them.

I purchased these from Good Prophets here:
GP CE2 510 XL Clearomizers for 510 and eGo

In the pictures they show the versions that apparently have the two seals, like I see in
videos of these things. But what I received in the mail is different than what is pictured
on the site. I don't know if they're a newer version or an older version, but either way,
they are different. Yes, they come in the same box from the same company, but the
design is different on these.

Does anyone have a fix or any further info on trying to get this version to work properly?

If you need photos let me know, and I will try to get a few uploaded as soon as I can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick

There are plenty of members here that have had success with those. I, for one, am not one of them - had the same problems that you are describing. After trying I switched to carto/tank set up and had a much easier vape.

Just my $.02 - I'm sure some people will come along and be able to help.

Good Luck and Happy vaping! Hope you find the solution.

Couldn't tell if those ce2's are the newest verson or not, check gotvapes fluxmizers to compare with. Newest ones have a plastic that can't break and is frosty in tecture. The new ones have 3 rubber pieces in the top part, take the topone and the one that is around the wick holder and trashcan them. the middle one you put back in upside down, there is a little ridge in it that you can push around the cup to keep the juice in when it is layed on it's side. I have found when the level starts getting less than half full they need to be inverted quite offten to keep the coil wet. There is more info on the gotvapes section.

If you check the video on My Vapor Store on the CE2s, you'll see they force the needle in and around the seal several times before filling. I've tried without doing this and without doing it all the way around and ended up having to trash the two I played around with. They simply wouldn't pull. Since then I've made sure I force the needle through and around the seal and haven't had a problem. I use a higher vg ratio than you and still get a good week+ out of them. Just before its time to toss, I do find them slow to fire and need filling about half way down, but when they do finally fizzle out, I love how easy it is to save my juice.

Good luck with them! I'm sure once you figure it out you'll enjoy!!

I read all the time about people having issues with CE2's..but I have a couple CE2's that I have been using since last August..I just take them apart clean them and burn off the coil when the coil becomes gunked up..some have failed also but I don't think I've had one last me less than a couple weeks. Some work better than others (to be expected because of mass production)and some work better with thicker juices at a lower voltage/amp..sometimes the wicks seem to be "pinched" off a bit by the top cup.

I haven't tried the newest ones yet but from pics they look basically the same although I've seen some with a black colored cup but it looks the same besides the color. I don't think the cup is glued but it's probably just stuck..I believe they use something to lube the cup when they put them in (probably a drop of VG or PG) when that dries that can act like it's glued but it's just stuck a little probably.

I use the clearos from volcano. Had the same problem and was really making me upset. Dry burnt taste and spitting out liquid. Right now its the only thing I trust to perform. You have to take the inner seal that goes around the ceramic tube out and make the notches that fit around wik bigger so the juice will wik better and secondly use a drip tip. There's a Guy named shado that has a good you tube clip on how to do it plus how to clean them(I get about 3-4 weeks out of mine. Pretty heavy vaping but using a more clear liquid which helps.

Thank you so much for leading me to that video, that explained everything! I
grabbed a paperclip, and did the little trick you show on pulling up the inner
plug, and that solved my problems. I am now belching vapor unlike anything
I've tried in the past. And the flavor is pretty incredible with these things.
Thanks!

Now, it's going to be hard to go back to my regular cartomizers, they have
nowhere near the vapor or flavor I get from these.

For the others here who're having or have had these same problems in the past,
please go watch that video and follow along, I believe it will fix the problems
you're having as well.

Thanks to all who replied and shared input and info, I do appreciate it.

Patrick
