Purchasing my first ECig. Opinions? Suggestions?

Ok, so I've been posting random noobie questions here for the last couple days. I've finally decided to just go ahead and buy my first ecig and go from there. So now that I've waded through the many options and pestered Steve on Puresmoker.com about LED colors and other random things, I've decided on the black 901.

In my shopping cart I have:

Black 901 mini kit
extra atomizer
5 extra cartridges

This should be enough to start me off right? I know that the USB chargers are highly suggested, and I'll probbaly buy one in the future, I Jsut don't want to spend a ton of money on something I"m not sure I"ll like yet. Even though I'm pretty sure I'll love it!

What do you think about the choice of the 901? I like the fact that it doesn't look like a cigarette, but would you suggest any other model?

The 901 a great start Kit imo The cartridges don`t last that long but that should be enough to give you idea if it for you? do let us know how you get on and we will be ready for the many questions you have once you receive it ha-ha

Hope it's not too late, but I really think you should get some liquid as well. The cartridges don't taste as well, nor do they last very long.

That's a great start. I started with a 901 (the black one) and it's perfect for getting used to these things and seeing how you get on with them.

USB charger...or USB passthrough? 2 different things.

I would suggest either a 3rd battery or the USB passthrough. 2 batteries will NOT get you through the day if you vape alot. They take 4 hours to charge and last about 2 1/2 to 3, and if you forget to charge one before work or dont take the charger with you... you will be back to analogs. As sugested here already, I thought the prefilled carts tasted like camel piss, I was unable to inhale them at all.

So I put my order in yesterday with Katy. YAAAY! I'm super excited.

The cartridges really taste that bad?? What if I add a drop of juice to them?

If I like the whole experience, I'll definately be buying another battery. Maybe two!!

The carts tasted terrible to me, I could not smoke them at all. I bought 7 boxes too. Some people do seem to like them though. I ended up pulling out the cores and washing them out in the sink. They are easy enough to refill, so it wasnt a total loss.

My experience with carts is this.

They don't taste HORRIBLE, but they don't taste great, either. I prefer the flavor of the juice to the carts, majorly.

Get some good liquid and get ready to use it.

i too am a newbee...but my girlfriend smoked 2 packs a day and now with her ecigs hasn't smoked regular cigs for over 2 weeks and doesn't miss them I just ordered a bunch of stuff from puresmoker and am waiting now for my order. If i have as much success as my friend will be a happy camper..
she told me the usb pass though is wonderful..hook up to your computer and smoke without using your battery. the regular usb cord is to charge your battery via your computer having a pass through is a good idea especially if you forget to charge your batteries you can go over to your computer and smoke without one!

ps..she has the regular pen size..not the mini, she also now uses the juice and not the cartridges ...this formum has so much infor for us newbees...Just keep reading and an eductation you'll get in no time

Nayetopps, glad you got your order in. I had the same thoughts on the cartridges as Terraphon. They were ok enough that i used all of them. But to me the juice is definitely better.
Be prepared to be ordering more juice after a week. My kit came with 15 carts and a 10 ml bottle. After a week i ordering the JC sampler pack. Then a week later i ordered some more. This time it was a 30ml of kick juice from Jane. I got my last order was just over a week ago, That was a 30ml bottle of Riskee from Steve.
I'm not sure yet what i'm going to try next sooooo many choices .
