Hmm... that has me questioning the integrity of my bottle then. I don't think any degree of subjectivity would allow one to consider what I have "good". It tastes in a mix exactly what it smells like in the bottle by itself - pretty awful. This one came from ECX, I might give it one more go with another vendor next time I order, I do want to love it.

need a little guidance here

i just got 7leaves, maxx blend and ry4legend. I want to make some sort of tobacco juice that approaches the taste of tribeca , deadly sin, those types.

I have tons of fa flavors to mix it with.. almond? one of the vanillas? nutzilla? carmel? combo of all of above? any suggestions?

You have a better chance of making a Tribeca flavor with Maxx and legend, but not with 7Leaves. A better option would be RY4 Double from TFA. There are several recipes on the ECF.

I'm just gonna work with what I have-I don't need a tribeca clone--just something heading in that direction. to me the FA rylegend smells the closest to what I want. So i need some ideas of what to mix it with and percentages. Thanks

Flavor name confusion here..Nutzilla and RY4 Legend are not FA names.
I went to the UK site to look for RY4Legend. It leads me to believe it's not one of their blended flavors as the name might indicate, but just FA's RY4. They also have a BYO Nutzilla that is a blended flavor (RY4 plus Nutzilla), but I cannot deduce what 'Nutzilla' is. Hazelnut? Nut Mix? Something blended?

Here is a thread that might interest you, someone on a quest similar to yours:
Flavourart Ry4 Legend/Ry4 nutzilla

With the Italian FA lingo, I can tell you that I mix RY4 at 2-3%, so if you like Halo's flavor strength, you might mix at 3-5%. To that, I like to add 0.5% of Caramel, Walnut, Catalan Cream and/or Nut Mix. I think Almond is too sharp a flavor for an RY4.

Not being much of a tobacco flavor mixer, I'm sorry I can't offer more advice.

8% Sweet Coconut Blend (equal parts FA Coconut, TFA Coconut Candy, TFA Toasted Marshmallow, TFA Brown Sugar Extra)
1% Coconut Extra (TFA)
3% Vanilla Custard (CAP) -for richness
2% Sweet Cream (TFA)
2% Pineapple (FA)
2% Pineapple (TFA) -I debated this for a long time. Added it out of lack of faith in FA Pineapple.
1% Jamaican Rum (FA) -I wanted to add the whole bottle. Smells so good.
1.5% White Peach (FA)
.5% Mandarin (FA)
2 drops per 5ml Tart n Sour (LA)
1 drop per 5ml Koolada

My random thoughts in no particular order

If you suspect a particular flavoring, you should make a little batch of it to try alone. 3% will do it on any of those FA flavors. I make it a rule to test every new flavoring before I use it in a recipe, but I've been known to be a rule-breaker from time to time. When I break my own rule, I sometimes have to backtrack.

FA Pineapple flavoring should look clear and colorless, like water. The smell is very mild pineapple - not near as strong smelling as TFA's version. It's mild enough that you can taste the flavoring directly. Tiny drop on the finger, licked off, tastes like plain pineapple juice.

Your total flavoring there is something 21% plus additives, which would make my head explode.

Your 1% Rum, 1.5 White Peach, .5 Mandarin looks like a tasty recipe all by itself, but added to 9% total coconut and 4% total Pineapple, I'm not sure I'd even taste them (before or after my head exploded, lol).

Nobody would detect any garlic or roasted notes in the bottle of FA Pineapple I have (came from purevapes).

I got a bad flavoring once - not any of these, and not your vendor - but it can happen. Can be helpful to look at recent reviews (if they exist) for that flavoring on that vendor's website.

My only knock against FA Pineapple is that TFA's seems stronger to me, and I like strong concentrates (so that I can use less). TFA's is candy-like to me, FA's is life-like, but both are clearly pineapple to me.

wllmc is probably off puffing his Biscochitos : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/569112-im-bored-want-cookie.html

That thread sent me on a cookie binge. Currently working on gingersnaps, spice drops, molasses cookies. It smells like grandma's kitchen on cookie day around here. FA Cookie will be in them all - it's a little bottle o' cookie fairies - but also other brands. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/568975-looking-ginger-snap-flavor-recipe.html

Thanks for reminding me - I knew there was something else I wanted to try today :)

How about?
Vienna Espresso Cookie
2% Vienna Cream
2% Cookie
1% Espresso

sometimes I'll add
.5% Caramel
and or
.25% Nut Mix

I'll have to try it, swapping Espresso with Gin...lol

Thanks for the input. I should have vaped it solo, the taste test shortcut misled me to think it might be ok at a lesser concentration. While it is colorless, it's obviously not right.

Yeah, it is high percentage overall. I read others attempts at Pina Colada from scratch and they all seemed to mention that the pineapple overpowers, so between adding enough pineapple to taste, yet enough coconut (and coconut sweeteners/enrichers) not to get drowned out, it was easy to find myself getting up there.

So the banana cheesecake turned out really nice it almost tastes like pudding, I highly recommend that combination.

The pear cheesecake on the other hand needs a little help, not really tasting the pear much. I have it in there at 2% , do I need to go higher, is the pear a weaker flavor? Or do I just need to let it steep?

I though the banana was going to be the one that needed to be bumped up but that has melded really well with the cheesecake and Vienna cream.

Pear is not as strong as Mango, but it's certainly stronger than Banana. Since you did each batch with same percent of fruit, and you can taste the banana, the Pear should be noticeable. But actual pears are not strongly-flavored fruit to me. When I can't taste a particular flavor I sometimes add a tinier bit of a contrasting flavor to bring it out. With Banana I'd add a wee shot o' Rum (in fact, I think I'll do that!) or coconut. With pear - maybe a tiny bit of apricot and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon. If you have a ginger flavor, it goes great with pear. Or try a tank with half pear cheesecake, half mango cheesecake.

Good timing! I just put HIC's Spicy Cookie Lab on my blog. It's a custom recipe builder for all kinds of spice cookies. It makes recipes like Granny's Sugar-Sprinkled Gingersnaps, Oma's Nutty Lebkuchen, Mom's Sugar-Glazed Molasses Cookies... You should see how many tanks of spicy cookies I have around here, lol!
