HIC, I tend to run a little slower than some of the others (I'm from the South ya know) but just today I finally got around to mixing up your County Fair Apple Pie. WOW, that is some good stuff - 5 star for sure. Once again, thank you my friend for sharing.

:) I'm glad you got around to it and like it. It somehow seems appropriate that a southerner would vape apple pie.

Actually, if I remember right, I could have sworn that, even in the e-cigarette category, there was at least one with a note that said it had trace amounts of custard notes, but since it was called out specifically and none of the others seem to be, I was assuming the rest were safe.

No - absolutely not. FA flavorings with even miniscule quantities are excluded from their e-cig section. There were two I mentioned a while back (Pistachio and Champagne, I think) that had quantities like 0.001% (maybe 0.0001%?) that were at the time excluded from the e-cig section with an inhalation warning. Now, THAT is a true trace amount. Champagne was very recently reformulated to remove that trace and no longer carries the warning on their website.

To give you an idea of the amount of diacetyl/subs in the Kitchen Magic flavors, their Butter flavor is 1.5%. Pandoro and Panettone are both higher at 2%. I've seen no other FA flavors higher than those two. If you poke around at The Flavor Apprentice's website, you'll find many listed as between 1-10%. FA has the inhalation warning on their Malt flavor (and it's in Kitchen Magic area only) - because it contains 0.01% diacetyl/subs. TFA's Malted Milk doesn't have the test data available yet. If I needed Malt, I might even chance that 0.01% over an unknown.... not encouraging anyone else to take my point of view, just sayin'...

I did the same thing. I started buying flavor concentrates just to fix the pre-made.

So a few of you guys did that, huh? I don't think I ever modified any vendor liquids, other than sometimes diluting them with plain base to stretchhhh the supply and cut overbearing flavor percents (Halo, I'm lookin' at you). If I like them, I vaped it; if not, it went in a box in the closet - which is still there.

Anybody done a Lemon Meringue Pie?

My guess:

Apple Pie 2%
Lemon Sicily 4%
Meringue 1%

I never put a crust on my lemon-meringue. Sometimes a bit of Fresh Cream, but no crust at all. I don't know if Lemon Sicily would completely cover the apple flavor in Apple Pie, but it's worth a try. I'd start 0.5-1% on the Apple Pie. I have a notion it would only take that much to add crust flavor to your pie. Please let us know how it does for you!

I still have a box of un-mended flavors that didn't do it for me in the closet, but when I'm sending out other stuff, they get new homes, too.

I know whatcha mean about Halo. I used to dilute their Tribeca by half.

Pullet the trigger on some VT nic just now... Maybe soon I shall understand the <3 affair with some of the FA. Don't get me wrong I'm <3ing some of them already, but this nic I have while not the worst by far is ashy... Not so great in my fruits & creams. ;)

You are going to be SOO happy with the VT Nic......I was so new with the DIY 4-months ago using the nic I was using I did not know how harse and ashy (I like that description) it was....that when I got Kevin's nic and it was like "I get it now"...night and day for me..... you use less flavoring or just taste it more pronounced it you use the same amounts.....enjoy

Well compared to the nic I used to use the stuff I have is fabulous.... BUT I seriously think it is muting flavors something FIERCE... Which is annoying since I like slap-in-the-face kinda flavor and some of the subtle nuances of my beloved Dragon Fruit are missing, seems like not much really shines through it... The order shipped today so I'll get it Monday or Tues... Benefits in being 2 hrs from VT itself!

Maybe HIC will comment on this as he's the resident FA expert here.

I tried a couple weeks ago. It was only "meh" so I never posted it, but this was what the start was...

Lemon Sicily 3%
Custard 2%
Apple Pie 1.5%
Cookie 1.5%
Meringue 0.75%
Brown Sugar 0.5%

Didn't go as I'd hoped...

Haven't had much time to play around with it since, but hope to later in the week.

maybe its the VT nic but these tobacco flavors are a really nice change of pace. cant decide yet what favorite is or steep times etc. do you guys notice any drastic changes after a couple days? I crock potted one batch only and it destroyed the flavor and after a few days it finally came back but tasted the same as shake and vape

I've noticed some flavor changes after it sits overnight, but nothing huge to my taste. After that, I it tastes the same to me for the next couple days (by which time it's all gone).

I like your It's Dark in Fuji name! Latakia with Burley is a combination I like, and most of the rest sounds good to me. I'll leave out that Dark Vapure and call it 'It's not Dark in Fuji'. LOL! The rest of it sounds my speed.

Your location changed as I'm typing this reply - I hope it's just looking weird on my screen.... :?:

What is it with you guys and coconut? I have it from multiple sources, and I'm not a fan, even at minuscule amounts.

I dunno! I don't like eating the stuff at all, but it really works for me as vapour (the FA one, I haven't tried any others).

My hatred is towards licorice, and other flavours that linger, requiring a 2 to 3 day ritual of vodka soaking, scrubbing and exorcism!
