ya i noticed that after i bought it but thought id try it out anyways . wanted to try and get a hint of it tho since i had it. my custard has all that junk in it to but I have to have it now and then lol. thanks for the heads up tho on it anyways. guess I should have warned about it but just tossed it in there real quick. anyways ya its bummer. something about those chemicals make me almost addicted lol. I can tell right off the bat when something has it becomes my tongue sets off alarms to my brain saying "its here its here" I swear before I had to force myself to stop using it every mix and flavor had one of the "bad " flavors in it............ loving flavor art tho. being able to get big flavor at low percentages is huge for me .

We experienced the same "it's here! it's here!" experience. And fwiw, as we've gradually reduced or eliminated them, we're now experiencing: "it's here, but it's turning my stomach a bit and making me sick-ish thing", that seems similar to what HIC has reported.

Tell me about it...lol. I went through all of my recipes and they all had at least one flavor that contained the dreaded custard notes. I am in a mad dash to reformulate these recipes! Does anyone know how we can get close to tfa bavarian cream with FA flavors? I need it...bad! Lol! It was my "secret" ingredient in most of my recipes! :(

FA Vienna Cream, but at a lower percentage. Try it plain at 2 or 3%, and see if you think you'd want to add some more vanilla when you use it.

Cherry: try 2% first. I like 3%. it's a red/yellow cherry flavor, brighter, less sweet, and very different from their Black Cherry. As a single flavor, it's not quite as strong as Black Cherry. This is the one I use for pie - I add it to Apple Pie (and sweeten with TFA's Brown Sugar Extra..maybe a whiff of Brandy for juiciness).

+1 ^

The Cherry is really good @ 3%, natural tasting, no cough drop taste here. I added 1% Apple Pie, 2% Brown Sugar. Wishing I had some Brandy or maybe some Whipped Cream but I'm enjoying it as is. May have to try the Cherry with some Tiramisu.

Also, tfa caramel candy? What about fa caramel and butterscotch?

I use both a lot. Descriptions from back early in this thread:
Butterscotch: about 2% for me. This is like that butterscotch syrup you pour over ice cream. Mmmm, sweet and flavorful. I use it much like I use Caramel, but this is a little sharper. If you like any kind of caramel vape, you should get this Butterscotch.

Caramel: 2-5% on this versatile one. I find a use for every caramel I have, and I have a bunch. This one is a bit less sweet than other brands, but still sweet, and one of the most useful. I use it as a sweetener, with choc, coffees, bakery flavors, etc. I think it tastes most like the ice-cream topping. It's not a hard-candy flavor and never tastes burnt or cracker-jacks-like as some others do.

Those percents are as standalones. If you're adding to an RY4, I'd pick Caramel and use 1% or less. Butterscotch stands out more in recipes, while Caramel blends in very smoothly, if that makes sense.

Hmm...got Rum? That sounds good, too. I add Rum almost as often as you add Espresso ;)

Tried a couple FA tobacco flavors today (hot water bath and 3 days of aging):
"Cowboy Blend" - at 3% - not very cowboy, and not very blend. Has a definite tobacco-ish flavor, mixed in with something strangely floral, and vaguely hospital-ly on the exhale. It's a flavor I recognize, but I can't quite place it. Just, well, strange. Not necessarily BAD, just VERY different. Maybe I need to revisit it again at, say, 1%.

"Desert Ship" - at 3% - a nice dry tobacco type flavor. Potent. Slightly bitter. Slightly leafy. I like this one. Totally vapeable on its own if you're looking for a break from sweeter flavors.

I bought some "Zen Garden", but I'm scared to try it. BASIL. Not. Sure. What. to. Think. I'll give it a go this weekend, and report back. For science!

I've never tried Zen Garden, interested to hear your reaction. I've seen reviews calling it pine, herbs, grass, spicy....but never saw anyone say it was downright terrible. Some people seem to like it as an additive to mild fruits like pear. Why wait til the weekend, you know you want some Zen, lol!

The chart I use says 1% on Cowboy, 2% on Desert Ship, so you might see if you like them better that way. I'm a tobacco lightweight - Maxx Blend, 7 Leaves, Virginia all appeal to me at 1-2%. Here's the chart I use, from some German site: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr..._hQ6Fu8HdEwwR2dLRUJlVjlabEN1NG1ucktuUVE&gid=0

That is a VERY realistic fear! Start LOW-low...like .5% or less.

And that concludes our Emergency DIY Community Service Message.

What do you guys recommend as a good starting point for the Espresso and cream base? And would you do just Espresso and Fresh cream? Or also add vienna cream? I want a good Espresso base so I can experiment with other flavors like caramel, chocolate...etc...

I need to go back through this thread and jot down some notes...I have already been through it 3 times! LOL!

The Citrus Mix is really starting to grow on me :) When I first mixed it I think all I could really taste was the grapefruit. After a little rest of a day or two I decided to revisit it yesterday evening. It seemed to have sweetened a bit and while grapefruit seems to be the dominate flavor I noticed a little lemon/lime and maybe something orange-ish going on. Maybe my buds were fried or it just needed a little steep.

This morning I dusted off the old ProTank2, grabbed a freshly rebuilt 1.4ohm twisted 32ag coil, loaded up ~2ml of Citrus Mix, attached it to the MVP2, set the watts to nine and proceeded to chain-vape all of it. :vapor:

It really is a good standalone vape and I'm thinking about how it might go in a tobacco mix.

I do that all the time :)

I would start at 1% with both Fresh Cream and Espresso then adjust from there.

Yep, FA ought to add HIC on the payroll. He's definitely sent a lot of business their way. HIC got me started on the FA Espresso and I'm loving it. I've been looking for a good coffee vape for a long time and with the Espresso & Fresh Cream as a base there's infinite creative possibilities.
Thanks HIC for the recipe and all the other info!

Maybe just a little fried from their Espresso bath, lol! I love the grapefruitiness and get a bit of the other citrus. Maybe not as much as you, because not much ever steeps around here. I don't think I've ever mixed it with anything, just never had any bright ideas. Tobacco, huh? hmmm.. which one, something light like 7 Leaves? I dare you to try it with Dark Vapure!

HaHa, no Dark Vapure here. Hoosier scared me away from FA Tobaccos, though I'm kinda digging on Virginia. I did mix some with NN Honey Tobacco. I'm going to give it a few days before judging, the grapefruit is kinda bold with the first sample. I still think it might work ;)
