We can't speak for others, but for us...8% Cookie =:shock:

2% is about our max for Cookie...a bit more perhaps if we're wanting something like a barely-sweet biscotti/scone - but typically 1.5% or less gets us all the Cookie we want.

So wethinks you've likely used too much Cookie for the Banana to be able to get out! :)

Haha, well that's quite a bit different to 8%... sure I saw 10% somewhere for FA Cookie, but maybe that was an Absolute Maximum... or LD50!!

I'm not really trying to replicate a true banana cookie though... and this FA cookie does seem to hit a spot for me in a smoke-a-like kind of way, if you see what I mean. (I've been vaping a lot of Inawera Pear at 5% recently, which does the same trick somehow). I'll try 2%, but I suspect a little more might be needed to get that effect.

Oops-forgot...steep time is essential for Cookie. It will change quite drastically as it steeps (if we're remembering correctly, it gets stronger as it steeps).

That's good to know, thanks. I'll try a mix that seems too strong on the banana initially and see how it develops.

Ohhhh, I'll present the alternate view just to be ornery. I'm a non-steeper. I get an idea or want a certain flavor, and it's mixed and I'm vaping within about 5 minutes. Fresh versus aged FA Cookie mixes (biscotti flavors) are popular at my place. When I mix for myself, I vape it right away. My partner's bottles sit for weeks before they're empty. There is no flavor difference whatsoever between them.

When I mix, I cap the bottle and set it in hot tap water a few minutes - long enough to make my max-VG juice very thin/runny. Then I shake it well by hand and vape fresh. Now, if that qualifies as steeping, I steep. But I've always considered myself a rebel non-steeper.

I do use about the same percentage as you2, though - about 1.5% max in my recipes, often lower. I couldn't vape it at 8%.

We're ALWAYS happy to see "alternate views" (whether they're ornery or not...as long as they're based on actual experience and not what 'someone else said' :::grin:::). Hopefully all ECFers feels the same! We don't have time for "small bottles & batches" (in fact, we're desperately trying to get to the point where we can make huge batches that will allow us to only mix 3-4 times yearly).

And we don't have a bit of a problem with "shake n' vape" mixes or mixers (except jealousy for not having the time/space to do that much ourselves). Our flavors are either "out" all over our only kitchen table for mix days, or have to be stored away). Even if we didn't have a major lack of space, I'd have to put them away...or I'd do nothing all day but mix mixes.

'Can't imagine what the difference is with us tasting a difference over time, and you not. But we certainly believe you (and we believe us, too). Who knows, eh? Maybe the vape-gods are mad at us!

Reporting in: made a 5ml batch of "Zen Garden", at 1.5% tonight. We'll see how it is on Sunday.

AND, completely OT, but I'm pretty sure I don't agree with not adding ACV/citric acid and/or sweetener (discussion of this is in another thread I think. Too late, and too lazy to look). I'll give things a few days to air out, but the samples I made tonight taste FLAT. Like, really FLAT, and I haven't had that problem since my first few weeks of mixing... :-/

You and I, sir, we have a lot in common. Liquid "should" be vapeable, basically, immediately. I do that same "quick steep" as you, and I guess have been lucky with most of my mixes. That, or, my impatience has driven me to mix stuff that doesn't need to "fully steep". That said, I don't see a HUGE difference in most of the liquids I have (bought OR homemade) besides color change. That bottle of MBV Graham cracker I bought in July? That stuff is DARK! BUT, the flavor hasn't change exponentially.

HIC, I have a question for you. Do you get a different taste from the Vienna Cream depending on what it's mixed with? I swear, I detected a spice note in something I mixed that contained no spice flavors, like orange. By itself, it's like this creamyvelvetysmoothvanilla-ish wonderland. Dang that's good stuff.

Nope, no spice in Vienna. Catalan does, though. I'm currently vaping 2% Vienna all by itself, love it. I never use over 2 or 3% - are you using much higher than that?

Okay.. After seeing that a lot of my TFA flavors have the ... um... bad stuff in them I'm gonna spring for some more FA stuff( already have 10 or so of em). Really sucks that I just got a 4 ounce bottle of TFA Sweet Cream :(
I have some FA and Inawera in my ecigexpress cart. Since they re bottle (I think I read that somewhere), is it adviseable not to order from them and just order direct?

Purevapes and rtsvapes both rebottle with their own labels, as does probably every FA vendor. rtsvapes uses 10ml glass vials. I've only gotten 3ml size from purevapes, and they're in plastic squeeze bottles. I've been totally satisfied with service from both, and both ship very quickly. Ordering direct from FA, I have heard, is an exercise in patience. I'm not a patient person, never tried ordering direct.

No, I remembered you said to keep it low and that if it gets weird or hot, you've gone too high. Something along those lines. I think that was you? I was vaping it by itself earlier and was stunned. SO YUMM.

It gets sharp tasting to me after 3%, but still not spicy. I keep meaning to figure out my favorite FA vanilla to use with Vienna Cream. I'm going to make 3 samples, load 3 tanks, and finally compare them side-by-side like that. I predict Tahiti will win, but I know I like them all.

Thanks! I was just curious since ecx carries both, I could just kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I know this is a Pure Vapes thread and I'm not trying to promote 1 vendor over another, just not ready to order 30 ml from PV as of yet

It's more of a FA thread than purevapes. Those are little 3ml samples I get there, not 30ml. That way I can can afford a whole cart full. I don't ever get 30ml of anything. I've never ordered FA from ECX, but I would try them if their price and selection were what I was looking for. In fact I'll head to ecigexpress to see if they have a few I've been looking for, so thanks for that name.

EDIT: Just to note, I see they have some of the food-use-only flavors (as does every other FA vendor I've shopped). Some of them have the associated warning, but not all that should do.

We've ordered FA from Liberty Flights, ECX, RTS, Pure Vapes - and most recently E-liquid Mart. The vials from RTS were filled very inconsistently (something we could have overlooked if some were 'over' & others were 'under'), but they were all short. Liberty Flights used to be the most inexpensive 'per ml', but now they're the most expensive. E-liquid Mart has good prices AND larger sizes (non-tobaccos = $3.49/10ml $8.49/30ml $12.49/50ml)

So we're sticking with Pure Vapes, E-liquid Mart & ECX.

Thanks for more names, we2. I'm surprised by your RTS experience, sorry to hear it. I've gotten 6 orders from them, maybe 50 vials, since last October and haven't had any underfilled yet. It's been a couple months since I ordered from them.

I'd never been to e-liquid mart. They're the first place I've seen FA flavors that has ONLY the e-cig flavors, no need to double check everything on FA's website. That's nice! They don't have all the e-cig flavors, but they list most. Now I'm not sure who I'll order from next!

Well that's good to hear - hopefully they've corrected the issue. Our initial issue was back in July, and their response/attitude was such that we've happily paid more elsewhere rather than give them any more money. We're compiling a big flavor order now (which will spread across several vendors), so maybe we'll give 'em another small try.

I saw just now that E-liquid Mart has added a LOT of flavors since our first order back in early March...so maybe they'll end up with all of them fairly quickly! We luvs "more choices" :)

Speaking of "choices", we got the new FA "Summer Clouds" from e-liquid mart (ELM?) back in March but haven't yet tried it.

The description:

Summer Clouds is the subtle taste of fresh fruit tenderly kissed by the sun.

With a hint of Peach leading the line-up of delicate flavours, Summer Clouds delivers a delightfully light sensation to your taste buds, likened to the pure and gentle freshness of an English Rose in full bloom.

This is most definitely a flavour for discerning Vapers who appreciate the finer qualities and subtle nuances that Summer Clouds offers.

Try it and fall in love...

'Probably not gonna be a must-have for everybody, but it 'won at VapeCon' (whatever that is), so it's likely to be well-balanced.

Okay, re-reading that description was just TOO tempting...so mixed up a 10ml bottle at 3%. It's had 30 minutes in the dehydrator @ 150F...

Holy Cow! If you like Peaches and you like "summer breezes" - this is FAN-VAPING-TASTIC!

It's recommended at 2-3%, but it seems a little weak to us at 3%. For reference, we like Hypnotic Mist @ 5% and love Oba Oba with Hypnotic Mist @ 5% each (total 10% flavoring).

This'll go GREAT with a splash of melon (it's screamin' honeydew to me), or other tropicals...or maybe even a touch o' cream!
