I noticed a lot of you mixers are mixing at very low %'s. What PG/VG ratio are you mixing at? I have a hard time tasting certain fruits at 3%. Should I let it sit or add more until I reach the right level of flavor? I test my flavors at 50/50 but generally vape 40/60 or 30/70.

I mix at 50/50 because I can't tolerate high VG. Increase the flavoring gradually until you can taste it. But not all at once - sometimes it takes a day or two to develop!

I'm the opposite, I like higher VG because I cant stand the taste of PG. What is the highest % you usually do on fruits? I think some people on here have gifted buds because I cant taste anything at 1%. 3% is good for some flavors, but others will taste weak at 3%

I'll give you my experience, which will obviously differ from others :).

To me, VG mutes flavors on a fresh mix for one reason, it's thick and unless you have something that's going to mix it *extremely* well in a Max VG or Near 100% VG blend, you may have a bit of a hard time getting the same flavor as quickly as those of us who use PG do.

When I vape higher VG e-liquids, I mix with distilled water. Pure VG with minimal PG from the flavoring is too thick and I don't like the soapy taste (that's what it tastes like to me) that it leaves in my mouth. These days, 50/50 is the max VG for me, with a stronger preference for 60/40 PG/VG0.

Try your weaker flavored fruits at 5%, as everybody's buds are different.
The percents used aren't cast in stone so...

For you Coconut and rum lovers, you have to try my;

Coconut Kiss
2% Cookie
2% Coconut
2% Jamaican Rum
.5% Maple Syrup

The maple syrup, just adds a hint of maple sweetness. OMG, this is so good. :)

Sounds delish, gotta try it with TFA Maple tho.
Had to order more bottles today:laugh:
Used up all my reserves making juice for others.

What happened to my favorite thread? I hope that other place hasn't stolen all my friends...

Just in case someone's listening, I reworked a recipe that I posted the other day:

FA marzipan 3%
FA apricot 1.5%
FA pear .5%
TFA pear 1%

I still don't have a name for it yet, but it's very good. There's something familiar about it, but I can't place it. Kind of like a fruity cotton candy feel to it. Yumz.

Does it taste like cream soda?

That sounds great - but I don't have TFA pear anymore, only FA pear and IW pear. What does the TFA pear add?

+1

I somehow know (or want to believe) that they're still around and reading, they're just not motivated enough to post right now.
And I miss the really good vibe this thread used to have. :(
