I am OK with Nik upping prices a bit if he wants to appeal to a larger customer base, one that only uses CC. I know that he'd love to see his business grow and if that is one of the ways for him to succeed, so be it. He is a great juice mixologist, and a great vendor. I support him either way he chooses to go.

I use both CC and PP, however when given the choice, it's always PP for me. I just prefer the ease of use -- I never allow a storefront to "remember my payment option" and get tired of looking up and typing all the CC numbers. In my younger days, I had them memorized. Now, I don't, lol, and it's just simpler to click, click, click. Never have had an issue with PP.

Now, that King in Nigeria, is another story. I'm still waiting for that transfer...

I don't understand what people have against PP. I have been using them for over 10 years for both business and personal use. I have processed well over 250K and have not had 1 single problem. Also they offer buyer protection that most CC processors don't. Just my 2 cents.

Amen.

I too am a decade-plus user without incident.

Happy Birthday, Nikhil, and many more!

Hey everyone, thanks for the comments, it's nice to come back to them. I have some good news and some bad news. First I'll give you a teaser of some of the upcoming new stuff: Peach and Caramel will be added to the Create-A-Danish/Ice Cream additive options, and Cappuccino will be added to the bases (so it will be Create-A-Cappuccino/Danish/Ice Cream). Gummi Frogs and 7 Berry Blend will be new Gourmet Flavors, and I'll have one or two new Basic Flavors as well.

The FlavourArt package arrived today, as well as some other flavorings from The Flavor Apprentice. The bad news is that this is over 15,000ml of flavoring and I'm still restocking my lab to a usable state after the cleaning, plus I want to test the flavors that have had their recipes tweaked to remove diacetyl (such as the Butterscotch Cookie) so I can tweak my recipes if necessary. There is also a bit of accounting infrastructure work I need to finish up (since I do my own accounting), and for all of that I won't be able to reopen until Friday evening without doing a botched job of it. However, I will be shipping all orders paid for by Sunday evening on Monday for sure.

Sallana, does Nik have the credit card option yet?

I believe you can use PayPal as a credit card gateway without making an account, and they won't store your details. The reason most people don't use PayPal is that they can freeze your account and keep your money with them indefinitely, but if you don't register a bank account you won't have that problem. Here's a picture of how you should be able to checkout with a credit card and no PayPal account (might look slightly different on my site):

Personally, I'm not out to be a huge business and prefer slow and steady growth. I like being able to customize liquid and I enjoy testing options and flavors, all of which is possible because I don't spend all my time making orders. If I suddenly grow, I wouldn't have the assets to hire employees, and I'd enjoy what I do less. There isn't another job that I'd rather be doing, and the challenge of starting a business and running it all by myself is enough at the moment for me to not mind missing out on a slice of the market that I could have by offering non-PayPal checkout. I'm sure I will have to get dedicated CC processing in the next few months, but for now I hope going through PayPal's credit card gateway will work for you and others who don't want a PayPal account.
