I'm back from New York and ready to get back to mixing liquid! While in New York, I ordered a few new ingredients, in particular one that I think will help improve the Apple Pie's crust flavor. Sallana said herself when I was in New York that it tasted more like a danish than pie, and I agreed, so I set out to revise it. The main problem I'm having with the Apple Pie is that apple flavorings are generally very weak unless they are the sour green type, so I'm worried adding the cinnamon and crust is going to overshadow the apple (unfortunately, there's only so much room in the bottle for flavoring). I'm also working on a Cola base flavor for the Flavor Creator section and a Juicy Fruit Gum flavor for the Basic section. I'll likely be releasing all of these flavors at the end of this coming week, and then start giving out test batch samples of Snickerdoodle.

I regret that I have a lack of pictures. I took one picture with Nikhil but I don't look so great in it so I'm not all about sharing it :p Maybe if you guys convince me enough.

Can I at least see it?

I screwed up. I sent it to my e-mail then deleted it from Sam's phone. Turns out I just sent myself a blank e-mail. The picture has disappeared into the nether. /emo

I agree Nikhil, I have the green apple flavors and they are different from pie apples... although you might think about it because if i remember right, the pie recipes usually call for Granny Smith type apps which are green...they just add a lot of brown sugar....
My impression was that your current sample shows a subtle sweet apple, and the sour apple juice is not what the pie would represent...
Well I am happy I agree with your take on it... will be happy to get some when you get it ready.

I got a couple of PV flavors not too long ago. I loved the Butterscotch Cookie. It's one of the best flavors I've ever tried. The other one, Cookie Dough Ice Cream, I couldn't stand. I don't mean any offense or anything... I think it's my own fault. I decided to go with the cold vapor option on the ice cream. I don't like menthol one bit, and this sort of tastes a bit menthol-ish. Is it the cold vapor option that makes it that way, or is that something that's there with an ice cream flavor regardless?
I just want to be sure of what to watch out for before I make another order.

Yeah....that would be the cold hit option.....the cookie dough is delish without it;) It actually has a very very nice vanilla ice cream tone to it......it is one of my favorites:drool:

Most people can't taste the cold vapor option, just feel it, but there are a few people who are adverse to it or get a toothpaste taste. If you're unsure, you can get a sample of the flavor, which is good for seeing how a flavor is by itself minus all the options and nicotine.

oooh oooh oooh...Nikhil....does this mean if I place an order this week there will be a snickerdoodle sample in with it??? Or do I need to wait till the weekend or next week:oops:

I'll start sending them out Monday or Tuesday probably, I still have some Apple Pie samples to go through from the batch I made just before going to NYC and I'm not finished working on the flavors I want to finish before the Snickerdoodle. I'm also short on 3ml bottles and I'm not sure if my shipment of new ones will get here by Friday.

Thanks for the replies. That's good to hear... with how much I like the butterscotch cookie, I'm really looking forward to trying some other flavors.

Well.. Anyone notice Pure Vapes' new outfit? :)

The old PV website was becoming an abomination. So many re-designs and tweaks and not being prepared for different layouts for different categories... ugh. It was too much of a mess to fix, so I started over. Only took me a couple days, really. I'm happy with the result.

How 'bout you guys? Any huge complaints?

Lol, thanks honey. I am ashamed I let the old site get so awful, I was just so busy and everytime I tried to fix it I only made it worse, got aggravated, and gave up. This new site is much cleaner. I have to put the old one back up to grab some links from the template. The differences is crazy. =/
