I'm want to shoot a video featuring popular PVs head to head. I'm thinking REO grand, cig alike, ego and pro scary.

Here's the favor part: does anyone have a proscary they are willing to donate to the cause of science. I highly doubt it will survive the tests I will subject each device to:
Dropping in dirt
Dropping in water
Washing in sink
Dropping on ground

So the proscary will have to be a true donation that I will return to you when I am thru but I highly doubt that it will function or be usable. I know it's a lot to ask but I figure some of y'all will enjoy seeing the only mod we know will survive reign king.

I will buy a cheap ego setup and use my own REO and subject all 4 devices to the same abuse.

Just let me know :)

I don't understand the point... Electronic devices against a mechanical? To be a fair comparison, a VV Grand would need to be used IMO. ;) Regardless, my ProVari is going about as far as my converted VV Grand.. Both within my sight and reach. :)

Nah, durability and functionality following things that happen in everyday life are gonna be the focus of this exercise. No one on ECF claims the VVG is "rugged / virtually indestructible" so it's not a candidate.

It's also to demonstrate to new vapers the differences between devices, how they vape before abuse and what can be expected following a common mishap :)

Rock on my brother :)

A 'Vari may survive depending on details - but ya can't have mine!
There's a thread with one dropped in a toilet, and a thread with one lost LITERALLY in a haystack, and found a couple seasons later. Both worked. The one run over by a Briggs & Stratton didn't make it. Nor the one burnt essentially to a crisp in a house fire.

Sounds fun though - I'll watch!!

The nice thing about the ProVari is that virtually any damage you may inflict upon it can be repaired by ProVape for a nominal cost...(can't use the warranty in your comparison) Just like the REO. ;) Many of us enjoy both the REO, and our USA-made "flashing LED pimp-sticks"..

Awesome! Should make for an interesting demo then. I'm confident that there's only one PV that'll not need "warranty repairs" when I'm done with em :)

Yes, long live the lit up pimp stix :). I can't wait to " test " one :)

I have to agree, it is not a valid head to head test pitting a mech against a VV or VV/VW... in the water trials anyway. You want to compare a ProVari to a REOS then you need to use a VV Grand next to it... and you know as we all do it will not pass a water torture if turned on. The ProVari has a better chance than the VVG, but it won't be one of mine.

With the P3 coming there has been a flood of ProVari's offered on the classies the last few weeks, many of them at giveaway prices (IE even less than $100) if you really want to play this game. That's all it is IMO.

My 5 ProVari's are in as good as new condtion because they have been taken care of, have never been dropped, etc. With 3 of them unicorns at far higher cost than standard models, there is way too much money in them not to.

Supe, I think using a Provari might ruffle a few feathers, and maybe be detrimental to your vid, and the promotion of Reo's, as no doubt it would be seen as some sort of Reo vs Provari comparo.

One idea is you could use a Vamo or an MVP to demonstrate mech vs VV/VW, it would still get the point across. You would then be comparing a much more expensive solidly-made USA mod to a much cheaper electronics enabled Chinese mod, which isn't quite an apples vs apples comparison. Also this may tread on newbies toes and put them off Reo's for life...(how dare you insult my MVP!)

A quality tube mech thrown in for good measure would make a fairer playing field.

Another idea is simply focus the video on the strength and reliability of the Reo itself, and leave all other PV's out of it. Just do it as a demonstration of the spartan qualities of the Reo.

I'm not really into seeing Reo's being torture-tested, dropped or thrown about for demonstration purposes, but if you took a Reo to one of those tractor pull/drags and slipped it under one of the driving wheels before take off, I wouldn't mind seeing that, I think the Reo would come out vapable, possibly. Maybe being creative, take the Reo water-skiing, or similar, like adventure stuff or high action stuff where you wouldn't normally take or vape a PV, might get the point across better with higher entertainment factor.

Yeah, after digesting the feedback, Im thinking the best course will be to just scrap the whole idea.

The way I described and sensationalized it, one might get the impression that it was gonna be some kinda wild backyard bonanza where I was all "woooooh yeah, today were fixin to destroy us some mods" type of deal.

That was not the concept at all, rather to subject each device to "oops" scenarios as well as the differences between each device.

I think I'll just stick with rebuild and REO tutorials although I seem to have hit a wall on that front :)

But I did get a PRo dealio donation offer that I'll just have to decline now.

Thanks you guys :)

Ps: I'd really like to test a "zombie edition" or that one spydro has front center :) :) :)
