Q: 510 looks like a pen

Hi,

My 510 fits together with gold fittings, as I would expect. People say it looks like I'm smoking a pen. I suppose all ecigs kind of look like that. But the 510 is the worst I've tried so far.

So does anyone know how to treat the visible part of the gold fittings so they turn black (the color of my 510)?

After all, silver turns black on its own

If you guys aren't the ones to ask, then I'll post in the 510 forum.

Mask off the metal with paint tape, rough it up with a piece of steel wool and spray it with flat black enamel paint.

Or,.........you could just go with the geek look, put a black pen cap with a pocket clip on the end, and run a strip of black electricl tape around the metal. Tee, hee. Just kidding.
