Alright, I'm a dork. I've found that I like to watch myself vaping on the video camera or in front of a mirror. With the FoxyBox, if you're exhaling over the led, it makes the smoke look really cool The green looks especially neat!

Hmm, I just tried that, at least the exhaling over the LED part anyway(Bright ... Blue), it is cool, like a lighthouse in the fog.

LOL! I was in front of a mirror last night in dim light and thought I had caught my box on fire . . . it was the orange led effect on the vapor! Really cool!

Just a word of warning. If you try to use low resistance atomizers or cartomizers on the 5 volt, the box *may* shut itself down (actually, it's the protection circuits in the batteries that will turn off the unit). This is not a flaw in the manufacture of the 5 volt mod; you just need to switch to a higher resistance (i.e. above 2.5 ohms) so the batteries won't go into protection mode. I know this to be true; I just tried to use an LR dual coil carto on my 5 volt, and it shut down. As soon as I replaced the dualie with a regular resistance Boge carto, no problems.

So, what L.E.D. colors did you choose? <grin>

I've got the bright blue on my 5 volt, and the color-changing L.E.D. on my 3.7, which I am using at this very moment to vape KBV's excellent "Tootsie Rolly" e-liquid.

I'll tell you what it's like. Hot.

And, my batteries don't seem to like it; my 5 volt box works for a short while with the 2.0 ohm/5 v. combo, but then starts shutting itself off. I've verified this numerous times; as soon as I switch to a higher resistance carto/atty, the 5 v. box works just fine. But of course, your mileage will vary. As I don't currently have a talking multimeter, there might well be a difference in either resistance or volatage that I'm not noticing. <shrug>

OH! It is so pretty!! It is just how I was hoping it would look!
I ordered this mod. specifically to take on my vacation in August. I wanted something with a bit more portability than my Infinity. This is perfect for the beach and sight seeing and it's "dressed" up for vacation! I won't get to see it until Wednesday when I get home from a business trip, so I will post after that once I get to give it a try. It will make getting home that much better! Thank you to you and your wife for the great service, and for my "girly" mod!

Let me tell you, Mrs. Godzilla works cheap! She uses oil based paint pens. After its painted, I spray many light coats of an acrylic sealer. A little thanks goes out to Smokingbullet, who told me what to protect them with.

Sure, it's like 12.5 watts! It's not too bad with darker liquids But, I don't do it too often as around 7-10 watts is my comfort level.

For any interested I had picked up a eGo adaptor and it just arrived this evening. I put it on my 5V box and tried my eGo-T atty on it. It worked for two hits then the coil died. Maybe too much voltage or maybe cause the atty was a few weeks old so IDK, but I won't try that again.

Hey opsguy, what was the ohm rating of that Ego T atomizer. It should not fry at 2.5 and higher. As Levitas mentioned, 2 ohms at 5 volts (and its always 5 volts) is over 12 watts. That is a lot of heat there!

The sweet spot for 5 volt IMO is 3 ohm.

Actually Basilray reviewed that same kit just a week ago. He talked to the factory rep and he/she said the threads were proprietary.
