Oh yeah. I am a master of disaster, and I have dropped both foxy boxes about a dozen times. A quick reassembly and they're good to go.
The boxes do have a problem though. They are a bit persnickety if a questionable carto is used. This is probably a good thing; the box will shut itself down (actually, probably a function of the batteries) if a malfunctioning carto is attached to the connector.
Last night, I refilled (for the twelfth time) a standard 510 cartomizer. I knew even before attaching it to the box that there was going to be a problem; the carto was not drawing well, a bit cloggy. Sure enough, the Foxy Box shut itself down with the first attempt to fire it. Oddly, the carto worked fine on a fully charged Ego battery I had at hand. And, once the Ego had boiled off the clog, the carto worked fine on the Foxy Box.
I don't think this is a design flaw, rather I think it's extra protection for fragile batteries. Remember, these batteries are put through discharge cycles that are very deep, very current-intensive. That is to say, every time you press that button, the carto or atty draws an incredible amount of current from the battery. I mention all this, because you might jump to the logical conclusion that something is wrong with your box mod, when in fact it is probably a carto or atty problem, or less frequently, a malfunctioning battery.
Just my 2 puffs worth over coffee. Currently vaping a fairly disgusting Ry 4 prefilled carto, waiting for a juice delivery, at 5 volts. The vapor is huge, the nicotine high, but the taste....semi-yuck. Oh well, at least I'm not hoovering down an analog. <very happy!>
