Seems lotsa lesbians come from Catholic school.. I think they breed them :) 3 of my female ex's went to catholic school :)

My partner and I are pretty sure that it's the repression (sexual and otherwise) found in the Catholic school system.. makes people more likely to rebel and experiment with their sexuality. Not that I'm complaining too much, mind you.. so long as they don't do that stupid abstinence-only education thing.

I've never had much luck with Manic Panic.. fades too fast for me. Amazingly enough, the red is actually a cheapy Loreal Colour Rays. It stays about that bright for a couple months before it starts to fade. :)

My hair loves hair dye.. I dyed it purple back in October with Punky Colour, and it's still insanely vivid. XD

Glad you like the picture! That was my first time performing in drag.. total blast! :)

my hair has been multiple colors from various products...

i've done mostly manic panic... midnight blue.. vampire red... my favorite ULTRAVIOLET (which is a purple that under certain lights looks more blueish) i've done my hair the vampire red then overstreaked the black over it the next week to the point that it looked black with red streaks... i've used a cheapy red from claires that i dont remember the brand but it was a whole $3 a bottle.... REALLY red but it tended to redden the scalp too looking like id taken a shot to the head with a baseball bat...

right now my hair WAS midnight blue... but when i got laid off and had to hunt for new job i decided i may want to go back to brown... sooooooooo.. i grabbed some loreal or sommat dark brown and just threw it on there.... well.. evidently i'm still unique as my hair is currently dark brown with EMERALD highlights ROFL

i didnt bother editing... my speeling and tpyos ROK!!

it's hard to know yet.. i've been going through a bit of a tough time and haven't actually quit analogs yet..

when i first started vaping the analogs really dropped significantly.. but i was working alot and never had time to do anything but work... unfortunately.. i became unemployed just in time for parts to start failing and didn't have the funds to replace so i went back to analogs..

this time around has been ALOT tougher.. i've got the vapors to give over to it fully... but the analogs got a good grip this time so im in a bit of analog/vaporizer limbo

PS: glad you liked the vid... i normally dont like black crowes but i LOVE that particular song.. and it is NOT an easy song to sing... thankfully i nail it about 3 out of 5 times... and only outright fail at it 1 out of 5 LOLthat 4th one turns out O K ;):)

It's much like everywhere I guess Rev, there are open minded people who aren't threatened by diversity and there are insecure, narrow minded people who think anyone not like them is unnatural and a threat.

My personal experience in the UK is of a mostly tolerant society where differences are accepted. Reading the news is a different story though, one doesn't need to look for long to find gay bashing stories and discrimination.

It's very hard to generalise because I only come into contact with certain kinds of people and perhaps have developed a lifestyle that doesn't bring me into contact much with hostile people. We have our own nazis (like the KKK), as I'm sure most places do.

Our laws in the UK are fairly good, for example, gay people can have civil unions now which are similar to marriages. Legally discrimination is frowned upon.

One of our greatest activists - Peter Tatchell, reckons that activists should be trying to put themselves out of business. If we are ever seen as equals, normal and tolerated, then there will be no need to huddle together for protection.

Thats cool Kate, although I am not gay. I tend to hangout in social circles where I am the only straight guy around.

So Yeah I like to think things are getting better here in the states. Although you can never kill off stupidity Its nice to think that allot of negative stereotypes will die out as this later bigoted generation passes on

i've begun to notice an odd trend here in the states... it seems to be moving ever soooooooooooooooo slowly..

public tolerence seems to be on the rise.. although you'd never know it because the loudmouth straightforward bigots get all the attention.

i currently live in a small town in a southern state.. it took a while.. but i eventually started realizing that "in public" this town has become VERY tollerent of gays and lesbians.. i seem to be meeting at least one new person a week that is gay or lesbian.. (i know.. it IS an exagerration)

when i meet these people.. they are not "flaming" but bluntly gay.. and for the most part they seem VERY MUCH liked by everyone around them.. (mainly because so far all of them have been overly nice and sweet outgoing people)

but on the other side of things... i've noticed and heard the hushed comments.. being heterosexual lets me into the bigots club without them realizing i have nothing in common with their agenda.. when these people aren't around.. it seems you mention the name and everybody hesitates.. and looks around to see who's listening before they comment...
it's at that point that you finally get to hear some of the true opinions.. the snide remark.. the "i'm ok with him.. but he better never lay so much as a finger on me" statements..

long winded... but my point was... isn't it strange that after all these years.. FINALLY it's becoming the bigots that are "in the closet"?

PS: i love ALL my freinds equally.. be they gay, straight, or purple with green stripes.. and i will defend them to the ends of the earth

I just stumbled across this thread, and I must say that I've laughed my ... off several times. I always appreciate a little self-deprecating humor. I'm not gay, but my brother is and I've had several gay and lesbian friends throughout my lifetime. Presently, I have a very small social circle, and probably more than half are lesbian or bisexual. For me, it's never been a consideration... I don't think when I meet someone "Well, they'd be my friend if they weren't gay." I'm confident (comfortable?) enough in my sexuality that I'm not threatened (nor should I be). I don't get why straights think every gay person wants to have sex with them.

I'm all about the chocolate though :)

well, I don't believe my user name left much doubt with the "Y" in poeticwomyn LOL. But I am new to the list and haven't posted much so I am probably not out yet, LOL. I am also new to e-cigs. I love them, and since my partner was a none smoker, she loves it that I now use them. Lots more snugglin' and lots less fightin' about smoking at our house, thanks to e-cigs. Right now all I have is a pen style from NJoy, although I have some others on the way, I am still experimenting with flavor carts and have ordered my first juice it should be on it's way soon. All advice will be appreciated and taken with a grain of salt. <grin>

Sen. Chris Buttars

Here in Utah, Senator Chris Buttars told an interviewer recently that gays are "the greatest threat" to this country. Buttars’ remarks echoed those of Oklahoma state lawmaker Sally Kern, who briefly made national news last year when she declared that gays are a graver threat to America than Muslim terrorists. Buttars called gay activists "the meanest buggers," alleged they have no morals and likened them to terrorists. Buttars also said "homosexuality will always be a sexual perversion," adding that same-sex relationships are "abominations." The station said it would not air certain other portions of the interview where the senator discussed gay sexual activities because it was deemed inappropriate for broadcast.

Surprisingly, many other prominent politicians here in the state did not immediately censure him, but rather, stated that they supported most of Mr. Buttars beliefs and thought his views represented the beliefs of the vast majority of their constituents.

"I have to tell you publicly that most of what Sen. Buttars said — I agree with," Sen. Howard Stephenson, R-Draper, said on the weekly radio program "Inside Utah Politics" on KTKK-AM.

"I think the bulk of people in Utah agree with 90 percent of what he said," Sen. Dennis Stowell, R-Parowan, chimed in on the radio program.

WTF? I don't even own a gun!

Re: Sen. Chris Buttars

Keep an eye on the news... sometime in the near future I predict that this guy will either be caught in a bus station men's room, or outed for soliciting homosexual prostitutes.

It almost always seems that the most adamant right-wing anti-homosexual politicians/'family values' proponents are closeted gays themselves.

On a lighter note, with a last name like that how can he not be?
