what's with all the extra double u's?

and what is it about the 510 that you like the best?

I find that with any device I use the 510 produces a hotter vapor with more "kick". This is especially true when compared to the 801.

But I hear that cartomizers with the V2 is the "bee's knees"....Hoping to find out soon on that one.

Are cartomizers available for the 510?? Or is it a different thing all together?

you can use cartos on a 510 but you need to use an adapter since the threads are different and there are vent holes in the connector..

You can get an adapter
510>808

just screw on the adapter to your 510 and then screw on the cartomizer..

Plus I think puresmoker has the adapter as well// Check with them on this.

I have a semi-related question, but can't start my own threads yet, because i've been reading these boards for a year, but never became a member. Sorry, guys!

Okay.....i'm interested in these blank cartomizers.

How do they compare to my 510 at 5v?

And can someone clarify.......will I be able to use these ace cartomizers on my Puresmoker USB Passthru with the 901 adapter???

What about the Prodigy V2? Same thing? Cartomizers will screw into the 901 adapters?

thanks!!!!!

The cartos should work with your 901 adapter on the V2.
they wont produce quite as much vapor but the TH will be same or more.

Passthru should have no effect or difference.

cartomizers will screw into the 901 from puresmoker adapter. V2 that is.

Not sure if the V1 901 has the holes required for the cartos on that one.

Just try some, they are cheap and can be refilled many times. You can also wash them out and blow dry and refill again. I get about a week of use from each carto..

I still love my 510s and 801s too but cartos are convenient to use and require less refilling than reg carts.

so maybe i'm behind the power curve on this one.... but what exactly is a cartamizer and how does it work?

A cartomizer is the cartridge and atomizer all in one.
They're made to be disposable but many of us refill them and a lot of us get blanks and fill them with our own juice.

They fit the PS 901 adapters and others have a 510 - cartomizer screw in adapter (that's what I started off with until I knew I liked them) Pretty much all I use now.

One filled cart will last me most of a day (8 - 10 hrs).

Here's a link to the Puresmoke Atomz ---> Here

Hope that helps Jova3

Not heavy on a work day. More of a Stealthy Vaper M-F and steady in the evenings.

When I'm at the house I may tend to throw a few drops on top just for the fresh taste of pineapple but not so much because it needs it.

Weekends are rather steady all day long and I will pull the top and throw a couple of drops in during the day if I'm banging on it hard and heavy.
So maybe a full cart +8 to 10 drops for a Saturday at the shop (8am - 8pm)

I never really run one dry and I have carts that I've been using for really clean juice for a month or better.

Do you raise / breed cats or just like/have them?
**thought I'd throw that out there, I'm looking for a Bengal, Abyssinian or a Cornish Rex **

I'm thinking of trying the cartomizers on my V2. I run a 510 unit so I'll pick up an adapter but here's a question - how are the atomizers on these 808's? Do they behave like 510's? Also, how many refills can you do on these before the atty section dies? I guess I just want to know if they have better life spans than 510's.

BTW - I have one dog & 2 cats, all rescues

There's a little bit of a learning curve with the cartos juts like the others but, if you don't let them run dry and burn them up and your liquid isn't too sugary, they should last 10 - 15 refills (minimum). Cost wise they're only a little over $1 ea.
I have a few I've been using for more than a month. I use 100% VG liquids, very little sweets and don't have any problems. I've also never had one DOA.
I thin my liquid out with a little distilled water (one or two drops) when I'm runnin HV.

they are a little different than 510s. not as much vapor unless you are using vg but the th is very good and satisfying. like brock said about 10-15 refills. i just always top off way before they are empty becuase of using them on 5 and 6v devices. they do fine on the v2. try some and see what you think.

I was having problems frying 510 and 901 attys on my V2. I had some Atomz cartos laying around. The juice in them was rather gross IMO, so I soaked them in warm water for about 15min, blew them out (mostly water), blow dried for 5min, blew out again (mostly juice), blow dry a little more. Then refilled with Tasty Vapor 35% VG liquid.....WOW what a difference! Killer vapor, throat hit, everything. Although I noticed I have to mix the strength of my liquid 2-4mg higher to get the good throat hit compared to the 510. Now I gotta go get me some blank cartos and start filling! Plus they lasting forever! Good place to get cheap blank cartos?

Great place to get blank Cartos is PS but, they're sold out already! LOL
Steve had them at $1.09ea.

Instead of blowing them empty or shaking them full I modified an idea from a thread on here and built this.
123.jpg

6 or 8 drops and giver a spin, repeat. The centripical force drives the juice down into the wick. I get 28 - 33 drops in a new cart and fill just until the top barely stays wet on a refill. That averages around 18 - 20 drops (I try not to run them dry).

You can flip the carto upside down to extract the water out of them when cleaning. Works pretty darn good. :w00t:
