That all depends on what atomizer you will be building on and what resistances you want to achieve. You can use the ohms law calculator to calculate the current required for target resistances and add a few amps for headroom and that should tell you the current range. Here are some battery info links from one of our battery experts. Good luck.

What exactly does "IMR" mean?

thanks for the fast replies guys! i don't plan on going below 1ohm i was planning on getting this batterey for my mech

SONY US18650VTC4 2100mAh HIGH DRAIN 30A RECHARGEABLE Li-on 18650 Battery

I use those in my mech mods. You should be fine even going sub ohms.

Sent from my cotton stuffed microcoiled Android unit.

I just got a couple of those and like them. IMO, they are one of the safest batteries around :thumb:

ok my battery question

I have a pair of the Panasonic NCR18650PD batterys that so far I have only used in my vamo

Are these ok in a mech with toppers that never go below 1.2 ohms? I have never been real sure what the chemistry of these are which is why I don't put them in the mechs.
Those are hybrid chemistry and are considered one of the safest around. You should be fine using those up to 10A rating so 1.2 ohms is no problem.

To follow up on Paul.K's reply, they should be safe down to .6Ω (7 amp draw). Though they're rated for 10 amp continuous discharge, I like to stay well within 80% of the limit. For safety's sake.
