Question about Doublers

I want to order some of these highly rated juices and many talk about doublers. My question is; the e-liquids are sold in 1oz bottles and the doublers are sold in 4oz bottles so if I want to cut say 48mg to 24mg which would be 1 to 1, would I need to order 4 bottles of e-liquid to 1 bottle of the same flavor doubler?

This seems to be a lot of juice to buy to just try one flavor? Your experience and help will be appreciated because I am ready to order some.

You aren't cutting it with the Doubler .... you'd cut with PG or VG, or a combination there of .... the Doubler is for added flavor after it's been cut.

Thanks for the reply and I may be slow but doesn't the doubler have 0mg nic and wouldn't that cut the mg of the final mix also?

You actually can just use the doubler. I think that's what they're made for, so you can cut your liquids without losing the flavor. That's what I'm doing, anyway - getting the 48mg & corresponding doubler. You just buy 1 bottle of the nic juice and the doubler is larger so that you can conserve the nic juice.

If you're not sure you'll like the flavor and just want to try it, why not just order a 1oz bottle in your desired strength? If you like it then go higher nic on the next order and add a doubler. My way costs you $15. Your way is what... $75?

Redgirl, I do like the idea of flavored doubler juice but it is 0 nic so the more you add, the lower the nic % will be. My understanding is that if I mixed a 1oz bottle of 48mg juice with a 4oz bottle of doubler of the same flavor I would end up with about 8 - 10% nic juice?

BanjoMan, you are right. With my first order I will have to just order the juice. (BTW, I want to end up with 24mg nic juice)

well son of a gun ... who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks I've always cut with pg/vg and used 0 nic to kick up the flavor ... never claimed to be the brightest bulb on the porch

Yes, Geoff has said many times that the Doublers are designed specifically to mix with his nic juices to lower the nic content. I was actually hoping that the doublers would be 'double flavor' for cutting with unflavored nic juice, but that is unfortunately not the case.

That being said, I do use his Doublers to cut down my 100mg / ml nic juice, and at 10% nic juice the flavor still holds up rather well. Unfortunately, it does become a problem when I want to use say 24 mg nic juice, as cutting 50/50 with a Doubler certainly drains it of its flavor.

Geoff: if you're reading this, I'd gladly pay another $5 per 4oz Doubler bottle for 'double flavor' mixers. This would be exactly what I'm after, and would result in me buying a lot more from you. ;-)

Yeah, of course it's a lot of juice. Nobody said you need to mix every drop of your doubler on the first day you get it in the mail...

Some doublers will even mix well with other flavors. I don't know your tastes, but I would order a cherry doubler and mix it with some 48mg cherry, or lime, or menthol, or raspberry, etc...you get the idea.

Doublers are awesome because you can really do anything you want with them...not just mix them with the same flavor to lower the nicotine.

Geoff says on the website or maybe it was in this forum that if you want double flavor all you have to do is put in the comment section when your ordering "Double flavor".

but i do have a question about your 100mg nic juice because i was just about to order some myself and dont quite follow you.

Even Geoff has to start with a base nic juice. For the purposes of this example im going to say we are making a 30ml bottle of juice. You want to go from 100mg to 24MG

With 100mg nic juice you need 7.2 ML
Doubler you need 22.8 ML

Why is your flavor not holding up in this scenario. Geoff is starting with a base nic juice as well and then mixing in all the flavors. His doubler accomplishes the same thing. Am i missing something here?

I also use the doublers to mix flavors, like Cafe Mocha 48mg with Vanilla doubler, etc.

You don't have to mix both of the ENTIRE bottles of juice. Here is a juice calculator:

Say, if you got a bottle of 48mg nic juice and a doubler bottle, using the calculator, just put how much you want to make (ex. 5ml), the nic base, which in this case would be 48mg, and the target nic level (whatever you want it to be: 12, 24, 33, 36 or whatever floats your boat!). Below it will tell you how many drops of nic juice to put in the bottle, and below that it says PG or VG no nicotine, that would be how many drops of doubler to put in.

Thanks everybody for your replies and I understand it much better now. I am wondering what the most universal doubler flavor would be? Something that I could mix with different flavors.

The way i look at it is this.....

I finally found a flavor that i want to vape alot of the time...So..i buy that e liquid in 48 mg...get the doubler...Add same amount of doubler to the 1 oz...which makes it 24 mg each...2 bottles.....then next time i order i can order another bottle of the eliquid..and have enough to make 2 bottles out of the one again.

I usually vape 12 mg...so this is just perfect for me.... after all is said and done..i will have 4 bottles of the eliquid and 1 oz of the doubler left for next time or to mix with other juice.

i think this is right...my math skills have faded from my mind..LOL

I like Butter Cream / Vanilla as a 'base' flavor to mix with anything and everything. It's pretty neutral and goes well with a variety of flavors.

Well, its BUTTERFINGER.....

I love atomic Fireball and Spicy rum which i already have...But i got a sample of Stomp's butterfinger..and it really is good...And i dont like vaping sweets ! This is an awesome find for me.

Thank you all so much for all your help and I just placed my first order with TV.

Butterfinger of course, Cafe Machiatto because it is the special and German Chocolate Cake, all PG, 48mg. Then I ordered a bottle of all VG Doubler flavored Bavarian Creme & Vanilla and 10 15ml empty bottles. I plan on cutting these 1 to 1 to get 24mg. I hope I did everything OK and that I like the flavors. I also got 1oz of his tobacco 24mg.

I just received several orders from different suppliers today, all of them put in extras except TV. This is my second order and I ordered 1 oz of pina colada 48mg and a doubler of pina colada, 1 oz of blueberry cheesecake 48mg and a doubler of blueberry cheesecake. I too had the concept of cutting down to 24mg using a 1-1 mixture but only received 2 empty 10 ml bottles. I need one more, but would it work if when refilling cartos I put in 1 drop of 48mg to one drop of doubler in carto?

Tasty Vapors sells 5 - 15ml bottles for $3.50 so I bought 10 so I should be good for a while.
I know about freebies, I have got them from almost everyone but also that's alright because TV seems to be the most liked juices.
