I've been around a while and not giving up on the idea of vaping 100%. So much hope here that I can do it :)

I have a question about the juice. Did I read here where some juices are made in China and you should stay away from them? Or was it the hardware? Can anyone tell me the best places to order juice? Maybe you aren't allowed to say "where" because of promotion?

My sis sent me some from a shop in Nevada, but thought I would try other places and possibly go with lower nicotine than she sent me - currently smoke 1 pad, so 12 mg from what I read here. I would much rather start too low and build up than the other way around and get too much nicotine/headache etc and get frustrated and give up trying. Right now still playing with the Blu disposable.

I like the taste of the Blu Classic Tobacco disposable. Is there a juice that compares? I like the taste of it better than analogs!

We have a place here called Cheap Tobacco where you can buy analogs. But I heard the other day they have juices and a small bar where you can try them. Would that be a good place to start? Or should I order online. I know some of my questions are probably just personal preference, but thought I would ask. Also we have an AltSmoke about 1.5 hrs away....but they do sell online. Is that a good place?

Still lots of questions here since I haven't made the plunge.

My favorite is Lucky 7 the price is fantastic and the juice even better. A little bit of info about them. It will take about 5 to7 days to have your order processed. When you get it you should let it steep for about a week or speed steep it and decide if you want to let it set a little longer. If you want speed steeping instructions let me know via PM and I'll send them to you. Steeping a liquid allows the flavors to meld, the nicotine to oxidize a little and any alcohol from flavor extracts to evaporate. when you get your new juice shake it up very good and remove the cap and dripper gently squeeze the bottle until almost no air is left in it. re cap it repeat one more time. then put the bottles in a dark cupboard with the top and drippers off for at least a week. Daily burp the air out of them and shake them. it will make a world of difference. Here is a link to Lucky 7

A B&M store is the best place I have found to start looking for juice. My local one has all the flavors they sell available to taste. I got to try quite a few flavors and was able to rule out tobacco, menthol, etc. Flavors I liked there I looked for similar ones on the web and found some I liked more and some I liked less. Also, there are some web flavors that are nothing like what is in the local shop.

Try to find a reviewer with similar taste to yours and follow him. Just cause a lot of people like a particular juice does not mean you will.

The China thing comes down to trust, quality control, and government oversight. I don't trust a country that will produce children's toys with lead paint. Quality control is notorious in China. If some company in the US was found doing something stupid, like using used motor oil for that special flavor, they would be sued into oblivion. Another thing is reputation. Company GreatJuice that has built up a following and has positive reviews on the web is less likely to do something crazy like company X in Chine who will change their name to Y next week so as not to get a bad reputation.

Juice is made of Propoline Glycol, Vegetable Glycerine, flavor, maybe water, optionally nicotine. The PG and VG can be organic and can be certified as fit for human consumption. The flavors can be natural or the same ones found in food, not a complete guarantee of safety if you remember the problem they had with the butter flavor on popcorn a few years ago. Most water in the US is OK. The nicotine also comes from a pharmaceutical source.

Wow, I've only tried Zues E Juice (not bad, but I didn't like their strawberry) but after looking at Mount Baker I had been thinking about them. They definitely are cheaper and shipping time seems pretty fast from what others say. But after looling at Lucky 7 they are even cheaper than MBV. So, I'm interested to hear more, shipping times? Juice quality? You peaked my interest

That's a great place to start. That's exactly what I did. This will give you a good idea of the type of flavors you might like and also what level of nic to start with. I love being able to "test" the flavors. I never in a million years would have guessed that I would have liked Mountain Dew and would not have bought it online not knowing and it's one of my faves! You'll have a collection of juices before you know it. Good luck to you!

I have tried a few. One B&M had a tray where you could try them. I tried a few, picked two. I still like the wintergreen. The other, blueberry, the more I vaped it the less I liked it. I did get a blueberry from CEV that I like a lot.

I tried menthol from several online vendors. They are all good.

Vape Dudes have Apple Ice that I like.

My favourite has become E-liquid USA. At first I was disappointed they seemed to lack taste. I am finding that their Winston has become my all day vape.

Try some of the eliquids at Cheap Tobacco - you may be surprised to find that you actually like vaping fruit or bakery flavors. Online, we order from Mt. Baker Vapor, Vapor Bomb, The Vapor Room. ELiquidSamples has sample sized 1 ml bottles of flavors from a few different vendors for reasonable prices. Just enough to see if you like a flavor, without committing to a larger bottle of something you might not like.

I personally won't use e-liquid from China just because of the milk and infant formula deaths and pet deaths and illness related to Chinese products. I understand that China is a huge country, and not all businesses are the same, but I still make my dog's food rather than trust that it won't happen again, and I don't vape Chinese e-liquids just because it's such a new and unregulated industry already, and with this past history... yeeeeeah, no.

I do use Chinese hardware (mostly all Innokin), though, so you could say that's inconsistent.

By the way, if you think the nicotine level on the eliquid your sister sent is too high, but you like the flavor, you can "mix it down" by getting an eliquid in a lower nicotine level but a similar flavor and pg/vg ratio and mixing them. For example, mixing 18 mg nicotine and 6 mg nicotine in equal parts will give you approximately 12 mg nicotine.

When my daughter and I were using Blus, Johnson's Creek was the eliquid used in the Blu prefilled cartos. You might try looking at the Johnson's Creek website to see if they have any eliquids that you think you might like, also.

Thanks for all the great websites! I will take a look at Cheap Tobacco bar tomorrow, and ask them if their juice is from China? I just wondered how would you know if it's from China? The juice my sis sent is from a bar where she lives....but how would I know if china ingredients? Lots of stupid questions I know...

Also, the thing with shaking and burping...put in dark cupboard. Is that what you mean by "steeping"?

Premium juice, I buy at local shops but they are really pricey. These include --> Bamskilicious ---> Five Pawns ---> Suicide Bunny ---> Cuttwood ---> Faded Vape ---> Ruthless. I just ordered 708 milliliters of juice off Baker Vapor hoping these 3 top selling flavors on their website are good because its 1/7th of the price that I am paying now.

Yes, the shaking and burping is what a lot of people do when steeping their eliquids. I just like to keep things simple. When I get a new eliquid, I just put it in a cool, dark place - right now, it is an old purse with zippered compartments - and leave it there. Mt. Baker Vapor, the vendor we are currently using, puts a "born on" date on the label, and I usually use the oldest eliquid first. Some eliquids do not have to steep - they are good right out of the mailbox. When you get your eliquid, take the cap off and smell it. If it smells good to you, put some in a carto or tank and try it. If it tastes good to you, keep vaping. If you do not like the smell or taste, put it aside for a while. When it smells and tastes good to you, vape it. Some eliquids take longer than others to "come into their own", and there will be some that you just do not like, period. Don't forget to shake the bottle each time you load or top off your carto or tank.

This may be personal preference, but every tobacco flavor I've ever tried has been purely awful. Find the sweet/fruity/beverage flavors much more palatable. But stay open-minded! Try as many as you can... you never know when you'll find one you like better.

Seconding MBV. There's a place where I live called VapeRite, they do online sales as well... their juice is tasty but not the cheapest.
Another bonus to buying in-person is you can get opinions from the store clerk, and usually other patrons too if they're within earshot :)
