i heard that to get more vapor you need to prime your battery. is this just when your battery is brand new or every time it has been charged?

Does anyone have any more tips on getting more vapour and more throat hit ? maybe moving up to 18mg ? and does moving up to 18 mg improve the flavour as I have different flavour cartridges and would really like to taste them more.

From what I can tell, Skycigs is a mini-auto battery model (M401 I think), which I'm sorry to tell you is not a very good model. Very short battery life (one hour), are killed easily by eliquid leaks and very inconsistent. It might work for you if you are a very light smoker. It probably is only a 90 - 180 mAh battery. The inconsistency and weak throat hit is typical of thise size models.

Most vapers who were typical smokers (pack a day) prefer the much better battery life (6+ hours), throat hit and consistency of beginner models that are the size of a sharpie pen. Plus manual batteries which provide warmer vapor and are safer because the battery is sealed from the cart or cartomizer unlike auto batteries.

These would be ones like the Kgo 510, E-Power 510 or RIVA 510 in a straight voltage type battery. (And all of these have stronger voltage batteries than the over-hyped eGo) . They come with 1000+ mAh batteries. They cost on average about $45 (US). Since your are in the UK, I would check out LIberty Flights.

Rule of Thumb: generally, the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

Good Luck.

well I just recently switched from e-lites to skycigs and find skycigs 100 x better. the short battery life isn't that much of an issue for me because my starter kit came with a charging case and a spare battery so I'm never left without a fully charged battery. Will look into what you said though as it is all about trying different ones until you find the right one so thanks for your advice.

Just going back to the battery priming thing. Does this need to be done every time the battery is charged ?
