Question about PGA/making my own extract

So I want to make my own mint extract. This is the process as I understand it - vodka into mason jar, along with mint leaves, then wait a couple months.

My real question is how come you do not get "drunk" when vaping this or other purchased flavorings? Wouldn't vaping alcohol go straight to your bloodstream?

The concentration of alcohol is low to none. The vaperization will pretty much burn off any remaining alcohol.

I see most DIY juicers use vodka for extraction. In my hometown we can get pure sugar cane 96° alcohol (non-denaturalized) which is used -mainly- as a disinfectant. Would it be better as it's much more volatile than 40° vodka?
