Hey guys. I know this post will probably be long to read but I would love if you guys could give me some help.

So I have been having this problem: The first juice that I tried (Joyetech mab/usa mix) was the most awesome thing ever, it was love at the first draw. With it, I started using my very first set-up (Joyetech ego-c). Then, I moved to kanger evod's (using ego-c's batteries) and I noticed a big change on the flavor. But, after giving it a try, I got costumed to the change. The problem is that recently I acquired a Provari Mini and I've been using the Kanger Protank 1 and 2. With these tanks, the taste of that particular juice is terrible! It tastes great using other juices but not with this one. And the worst part is: that Joyetech flavor is my all-day-vape.

So, I want to ask. Should I try to work things out with these Protanks or should I go and buy some other tanks? I was thinking of buying three different tanks and see if any works out for me.

Which would you advise me to try? And please, don't advise me to get those that go for 150$. :p I am looking for something around 30/35€ maximum.

Thank you for reading. :)

Have you tried vaping your juice at different voltages? That would be my first suggestion. With VV it isn't necessarily that harder is better (especially with a clearo type tank) but more about dialing in the best voltage for that juice. The best voltage may be 4.2 for one flavor, 3.7 for another flavor.

Those Egos only fire at 3.3 V IIRC, so maybe try a lower voltage. HTH

Hi

I use Protanks because they are convenient, but I don't like them very much. Some people are very happy with them, but the taste of my juice is muted. For tanks with good flavor, I like carto tanks.

ETA: I only really like one juice, so I have it in a Protank, a carto tank and a bottom-feeder mod. Each one tastes difference to the point they might be separate flavors.

Maybe trying some different tanks would be the best option then. I am very fond of the Vivi Nova, available here (the real thing, not a knock off) GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml V2.5 REBUILDABLE TANK [gv-VIVINOVA-TANKV2.5] - $12.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more. And here is the gotvapes international shipping information International : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

There are plenty of good tanks out there that are not crazy expensive. Gotvapes has a lot to choose from. Their site is down now for maintenance, but it should be back up tomorrow. Maybe pick up another evod with your order too, since you know it works for you, even if it is not your perfect vape?

I would also suggest a carto tank, but maybe before you buy the tank and the cartos for them see if you can just get a single carto and give it a shot to see if you like the flavor first. With a VV device maybe see if you can get a 2.5 ohm carto and play with the voltage. If you don't like the taste of that, getting a tank for it will kinda be pointless.

If you are willing to fiddle with wicks and coils that you make yourself, then the options open up even more. Rebuildables are pretty cheap now but you need wick and wire supplies, and some knowledge about coil resistance before you get into that.

edit- you will need to fill the carto so it is 'primed' properly before you fire it up on the Provari. Baditude has a blog that explains this, and there are a bunch of YouTube videos that will help you too.

I also have a vivi nova and I don't like it. :)

Thank you all for the answers. The Ocelot, I will give carto tanks a read since I am new to vaping and don't know what they are. But, could you guys recommend a specific tank? Like Tidegirl did when she recommended a Vivi nova. :)

Those are the tanks I have. I like them and they are polypropylene instead of polycarbonate so they stand up well to juices that will crack tanks. You can choose a 2.5 ohm carto to go with it in the link.

That is just one option, there are glass tanks also. Ibtanked tanks are popular also.

Once again, thank you all for the great answers. The Ismoka Mega BCC seems very appealing for a cheap price. I will order one for sure. I also liked Ibtanked's tanks. Those are the cartomizer tanks right?

One last question what size of a tank from Ibtanked should I pick? They have 19, 22 and 25mm tanks. Which one should fit and look good on a Provari Mini?

Thank you. :)

Aren't we all missing the obvious? "If it ain't broke don't fix it." If you like your juice in an EVOD on a Joytech eGo-C then there is NOTHING wrong with that. You should consider yourself lucky that you found your perfect vape so soon and so cheaply. I am not trying to talk you out of trying new things, but I wouldn't recommend spending a ton of cash trying to find something that you really already have.

If you do go down the carto tank rout do yourself a savor and watch this video. It's a tutorial of sorts on cart tanks. It covers priming, filling, trouble shooting and everything im between. a mush see for the new carto tank user. If you don't plan on punching your own carto (and as you will be new at this I wouldn't suggest it) you can skip to the 23 min 10 sec mark on the video.

Carto tanks are harder to set up, but what you get in return is a more consistent, trouble free, and some say flavorful vape.

That's very true. If you really want to use your Provari you can always get a 510 to ego adapter. That way you can continue using an evod.

I have the same exact issue, I started with an ego c. Found the zikwid honey blonde was really good. Started buying gear, a mini protank. Honey blonde tasted like dirty dog. Almost gave up on the fluid, but realized why should I if it tastes good in the ego c tank setup, like another user said. Since its all thread on attachments, I just use the ego c tank for the honey blonde, and the protank ( and now some boge cartomizers ) for other flavors.

From my reading everything has different tastes in different gear. Find what works and just use that.

The voltage part is a whole nother ball game, I just got a twist a few weeks ago and everything changes again.

But still, my ego kit came with two standard batteries so I just load up the standard setup for the honey blonde ( I guess you could drop the twist to 3.3v or whatever standard is on the ego c batteries, but it seemed like a waste )

I agree that my tank mutes flavors, hence why I'm experimenting with cartomizers.

I see your point. Thing is, as many of you vapers, this became a hobby not just a cigarette replacement. When I got the Provari I instantly felt the change when it comes to vaping. I use my egos daily whenever I go out, my PVari stays at home. I just wish I could have the taste I have on my evod's with the Performance of the Provari.

Thank you, I'll make sure to watch it as soon as possible. =)

Thank you. One question, that's the v2 right? Is it the same size as the v2.5?

Thank you all for the replies. :)

Baditude to the one to go to for advice about carto tanks!

Regarding the ProVari size, the only difference between the V2 and the V2.5 is cosmetic. The size and the circuitry are the same.

ETA: You cant get a 510 to eGo adaptor and use an EVOD on a ProVari. Ego-T Adapter

First of all, thank you for all the help and I apologize for asking so many questions.

So I watched videos about carto-tanks and I get the idea. So let's say I bought a ibtanked tank and I didn't like the default carto. Could I try cartos from other brands on that tank? I ask this because the individual price of cartos doesn't seem very high.
