Where I live analogs are super cheap. Where people think 6 bucks for Newports is expensive! I was just curious for all the people who do live in places where they are cheap do all your vape expenses surpass the price of your ex smoking habit or is it equivalent or cheaper?

I used to drive out to the Seminole village and save much money on cartons
but even they started charging more money. It's a supply and demand thing .

I quit for both health and money.
Frankly, if I lived in Missouri I'd probably still smoke.
I was to the point that I was buying unprocessed tobacco in blocks from farmers in North Carolina/Virginia
and ripping/curing/rolling it my self. Much cheaper, but vape beats all that so far

I used to smoke Camels and they were $8.50 a pack. 2 of those would usually get me through the day, but 3 a day wasn't all that uncommon. I have bought a lot of gear since I started vaping because I am a sucker for new and shiny things. I've still saved a ton of money over the last 3 months and I hope I have added a priceless longer life to that as well. Even if I had spent more, it would be worth it, I feel so much better now and have a bunch of energy to burn. :toast:

My Marleys were up to $5-6 a pack when I quit, but I bought carton's when I had the time to drive out to the 'Glades
Was smoking my pipe a lot to save $$$. I've also laid out a bit of money on glass and shiny things but in the end it's still worthwhile.
Yup, the likely extended lifetime is a bonus. I'd really like to be here for my kid and watch him grow up,
if I don't get hit by a truck or something.

see my banner? that's just my cigarettes at $6 a pack.

i supply 5 people including myself, have plenty of high end gear for the wife and i, a full on laboratory dedicated to vaping, a wall full of flavors and a freezer full of premium nic. my GAS is so bad i have lithium chargers in 2 vehicles, 2 in the bedroom and one in the hallway.

and i still haven't spent all of what i haven't spent on just my cigarettes. that's after just spending $500 on a single mod...

I need to get on the band wagon of DIYs and rebuildables stat!

Yes, that would be wise. You'll save a ton of money and be able to customize your juice to taste.
Goto the DIY section and read all about it. Making juice is easier than making coils and that only takes a little practice.

If I can build a coil, anyone can!! lol I'm hoping to start DIY soon, and really hoping I'll like unflavored nic, that would be the easiest, cheapest, and likely safest. All the flavors I like the most, or considered the least safe, custards, ripe strawberry etc.

Pray tell, Big spender. What cost you $500 and does it run on airplane fuel?
Yup, I have a small lab and a little fridge, and a special case for steeping and spare tanks and stuff
and still haven't spent what I did on ciggies.
But then I haven't bought any $500 mods yet (probably never will either.)

OK...now I know you're nutz. Evidently the thing is formidably sturdy. I just can't see myself shooting my mod, expensive or not.
Looks cute and hardy. (Shh...don't tell anybody but there's some "bad words" in that flick..)

Hazy I'll have to look that one up Shades

I was paying about $4 a pack at about 1 1/2 packs a day. Over a little more than a year I've bought about $300 worth of hardware, most of which I'm happy with and still using. I'm making my own liquid now, but even when I was buying it commercially a months worth was costing about what a weeks worth of cigarettes cost. Now that I'm into DIY I'm saving way more. I do spend about $5 a week on coils, since I have hand problems and can't rebuild. So I'm still way ahead on cost, even though that wasn't why I switched.

Yeah, by now you heard that "F" word several times. You know I'm cool with it but some of us have virgin ears ;)
I'm glad you don't shoot your stuff. If that was a promo for the mod I understand but still..give it to me, don't shoot it, poor thing.
I can just see my wife making sure I'm as sturdy as I look. Run away......

wasn't a promo. he made that one for himself. i believe it was his first. was more of a "i bet this thing could withstand this.... i think i'll get a vid" and then it went up on the tube for a little showing off. he was proud of what he made. he says he still uses it to this day, nearly a year later.

would you mind terribly editing that out of the quote, please? sorry. but it would be better that way.

I was buying my smokes from a reservation not far from here for $28 a carton which did me for a week. I monitored my spending on ecigs the first year or so. I was ahead after about 6 months and I've stayed there since. I don't have GAS which really helps ;)

For the last two years I've been vaping dependable mods, rebuildable attys and I've been making my own juice. All that really keeps the costs down.

In the past 4 1/2 months I would've spent close to $500.00 on cigarettes. I have spent less than $150.00 so far on vaping hardware and to find the juices I prefer. In the next 6 months, I estimate that I will spend at least $50.00, probably less than $85.00. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, I wasn't a heavy cigarette smoker, but my eGo will not get out of this new karma. :vapor:
