Well, let me rephrase: I just think charging with a good charger is a little better than charging through the USB. I don't love vaping via passthrough with 18650s, personally. I don't vape often through passthrough at all, actually, but in that case if you're OK with letting it sit while charging then it's fine. Having a charger mostly allows you to get fresh batteries, if you can afford backup. I wouldn't personally recommend a Chinese no-name charger when you can get a slightly older version Nitecore for $14.00, and I'm sure other well-trusted brands for similar or less. It's just a personal preference. There's nothing inherently wrong with charging via the USB, but I prefer using a separate charger for both practical and safety reasons and I stand by my suggestion.

Charging by USB is fine, though, and saves money.

even a cheap black chinese no-name 3 or 4 port charger would-be nice to have. you can use the usb, I have no issue with charging your batts via the mod's usb port. i don't know why people dislike it so much. I only have chinese chargers so what "should" I use to charge my batts, a 60 dollar mod or a 5 dollar no-brand charger? lol.

I have charged mods via USB with no issues but do not bother with a no name cheap charger , buy a proven charger by Efest , Xstar or Nitecore , they all can be had for little money . The Efest Luc 4 was going for under $15.00 last week on sale and thats a great charger .

Buying a quality mod and then skimping on batteries or the charger is like buying top shelf fishing gear and spooling no name fishing line on it .

mhmm with 3x LG HG2's he could almost triple battery life
I've got HG2s in mine-- felt odd, the only mod I have that doesn't use VTC4s-- and the battery life is insane. I don't carry it around, I only vape it at home. And I swap every few pulls with a different flavor. But even so, it went 4 days without batteries :) I changed the batteries in the Koopor Plus (2 x VTC4) it was vaping opposite 3 times before I did the RX.
