Hello all! I recently got my MVP2. I have a couple questions. First I will post what the instructions say...then what my unit does...then what the vendor's response was to my concerns. Can anyone please let me know if what my unit is doing is correct?

1st: Instructions:
Ohms Meter & Battery Level Indicator & Puff Counter:
Hold both the P and U buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The screen will show a series of readings, the first being the resistance of the attached load(Rx.x, for example R2.2), the second being the battery voltage, the third being the number of puffs since the device was last turned off and the fourth being the last set voltage or wattage. If no load is attached the display will show NON. ---This device only gives the Ohms and the Battery Voltage...no puff count or last set voltage or wattage.

My unit is only giving the first 2 readings (resistance to load attached and battery voltage) and does not provide the puff count. My VV 3.0 gives all 4 readings.

Vendor: The unit should only show Ohm reading and then the output of the battery which you can tell if it's fully charged or not when you see 4.2V after a full charge then you are good to go.

2nd: Instructions:
Variable Voltage Mode:
Press the U button for 3 seconds to enter variable voltage mode. The screen will show you the puff counter first followed by the last adjustment (The last adjustment may be a voltage or wattage setting), after showing the last adjustment, the iTaste MVP will enter the variable voltage mode. Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 to 5.0 volts in .1 volt increments by pressing the U button.
-The variable wattage section gives the same description for the P button with the exception of the wattage adjustment being 6.0 to 11 watts in .5 watt increments.

When pressing either the P or U buttons, my device only gives the puff counter and the Wattage/Voltage (respective to the button). Does not give the last adjustment before entering that specific mode...only the last adjustment in that mode. My VV 3.0 does like the instructions state.

Vendor: If you push for 3 seconds either P or U then puff counter will show up then the current wattage or voltage setting

Per the vendor's description the device is working properly...but not per the instructions. I am curious to know if anyone else has noticed this. As a new vaper, I rely heavily on the instructions to teach me how to use new devices. I do have 2 local shops here. Is this working properly or should I take it to my local shop to compare to their display unit functions?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I think P is voltage and U is Ohms. Using P the values go from 6.0 to 11.0. Pressing the U button gives 3.3 to 5.0. Pressing and holding both P and U gives A, which I assume is amps, then gives the ohms (U) of the connected tank. I'm no expert as I have only had mine for about a month but I try to set the Ohms (U) to what the double button press shows. I then set volts(P) to 6.0 for single coil and 7.0 to 8.0 for dual coils. Basically I'm still learning so don't take what I saw as gospel

U is voltate...P is wattage(power). The AX.X (EX: A2.1) you get when pressing both buttons give you the resistance (ohms) of your coils. I hope this clears it up for you. Unfortunately your answer did not answer my questions.

All 5 of mine do the same as yours. It may be that they just copy the instructions from the VV3 to the MVP, and forget to change things.

Pushing both buttons gives you the Ohms of your coil. Not your amps. Holding it longer, the battery's remaining voltage will display.

P adjusts your wattage from 6-11

U adjusts your voltage.

P and U change how many watts (P) or Volts (U) you are using to fire the coil.

You can't adjust ohms, your ohms are decided by the coil in your atomizer, which you find by pressing both buttons together.

P is watts, U is volts, and the 'A' is Ohms (it's actually an R for resistance, but the display resolution makes them look one and the same).

I only get the resistance and battery voltage when pushing both buttons & holding them; when holding only one button, I get the puff count followed by the current setting (which one depending on which button is held).

Edit to add: ninja'd, figured. :p

And for those not understanding the "segments" of an LED light... it is inherently limited to display only certain patterns. Therefore:

A= Atomizer ohms. (Or maybe that's an "R"?) I guess an "O" would look like a zero).
P= Power expressed in Watts).
U= Voltage. It's as close to a "V" as you can get with a 7 segment LED.

But I'm sure everyone knew this. :)
