I've been experimenting this week with 3.7 volt, 5 volt, 6 volt and 7.4 volt with the same atty using a modified DSE 905 and the 5 volt passthrough..

What I've found so far and this is just my opinion..

3.7 - 5 volts gives the most consistent longest lasting vape.

6 Volts, the vapor production is great but a little bit harsher.. CR2 batteries don't last long and the batteries appear to be bad after a short time but they aren't.. I think it's because they are really 3.7 volt batteries regulated down to 3.0 volts so the 'usability' length is shortened..

7.4 volts, forget it.. Every liquid tasted burnt, very harsh, hot vape and it took out my test atty that lasted all week within an hour..

So at 3.7 volts to 6 volts, the atty seemed okay even when going to the DSE 905's full 10 second cutoff although at 6 volts it made me hack.. Too much vapor..

To me, 3.7 to 5.0 seemed to be the sweet spot and did not seem to affect the atty at all.

Using the 905, 6 volts was okay but a regular 14500 gave the most consistent longest lasting use..

The passthrough you are looking at runs at about 4.8 volts which I found was in the ideal range and shouldn't kill atties like some 6+ volt units do..

Hoog, just want to make sure since coffee hasn't fully awakened me yet before I consider your PT for my next order:

You've personally tested the 510 PT item#510USBPTA.

How about the 901 Pt item#901USBPT?

Right now, I'm leaning more towards trying the 901 since I'm not a huge 510 fan being more an 401 and 801 guy but was wondering if you had some road time with the 901PT. I believe the 901PT should hit the sweet spot of 4.5V-nominal 5V. I need to check if you sell 901 to other ecig adapters as well.

Final questions--any plan to carry 801PT @5V or 801 attys at all, or is the market a bit too small for that now?

Thx

I've used the 901 PT for a while also and it works great.. Won't work off of most usb hubs because they don't supply enough amps..

The cord on them is a little thinner then the 510 pt's but it's not the stuff that like headphone wire..

The 901 pt runs right at 4.2 volts which is nice cuase it's like a just charged battery all the time.

We do have 801, 901 and more 510 atties coming in hopefully this week.

The above proves it's a conspiracy to keep me ordering from you. ;)

See you at the order desk soon.

My g/f has a 510 pt , the one with the battery ( I don't know where she got it). She didn't like it much so I decided that I would make it a 5v. After tearing it apart finding a good thick usb cable, I can't find my solder. Then Thyestean told me you had some on your site lol. So I thought screw it, and ordered one. If it works good I'll have to order another for her to replace the one I chopped up. :p

ow.. yeah getting that low on them is dangerous. It would be just my luck to kill two in a day if I let myself get that low on them.

So far though I have no worries since the only one I have killed is the 401 atty that I was holding between my thumb and finger when i stubbed my toe and squeezed down and crushed the bridge :-x
