Question on SMOK TFV4 STC2 micro coil setup and priming

Hey, so quick question about priming pre built coils

i went through a bad couple weeks where i burnt out alot of coils and i noticed i was getting a burn flavor but the cotton seemed completely fine. I also noticed that the metal part underneath the cotton (within the center of the coil) seemed discolored and worn out.

When priming, I was putting just a couple drops on the top of the coil cotton but not really on the sides of the metal underneath the cotton. Do i need to be putting e juice along the inner metal that is below the top cotton lip aswell? I have watched some videos online and it seems many people are priming the metal below the cotton.

Using a tfv4 micro coil with stc2 coil on the r80 tc tank.

Those are tricky to wick properly. Balance between leaks and dry hits. You can get it right. I just flood the thing when I put in new cotton. If it's not wicking properly, I use a needle and wiggle/poke the cotton.

Thanks 90vg, for the comprehension of the forum. I agree...the coil needs to be primed like any other coil. This tank doesn't flood like other tanks so it's pretty good. I think you really have to wick it properly so put 6 or so drops on the inner cotton and 2 or so down the center. You may get a bit down the center and air holes but that's OK because you've ensured your vaping experience.
