Question regarding Cinnacide

I recently got my Atomic Cinnacide, and it was love at first vape. This stuff is delicious.

I then proceeded to buy the Zero Fill mod and HOLY COW did that improve things.

However, for the last 2 days, I have been noticing a taste on my exhales like something is burning, and frequently the Cinnacide flavor is not as strong as it could be. I know Cinnacide can separate every now and then, so I've been trying to remember to shake my bottles, but I can't say with 100% certainty that I have been as diligent as I should be with that.

My question: Is the burning taste/lack of taste a possible by-product of forgetting to shake the Cinnacide well, or should I be looking at other possibilities such as the ZFM or my atomizer?

Don't know about the experience of others, but I've never had a burning taste with AC... and definately no lack of taste here! As it ages though it does mellow, just enough to take the edge off the hot bite you get with a fresh bottle and bring out a little more of it's sweet side. For the record, I drip using an eGo and T-tip. IMHO... it could be the ZFM.

Ive never used the ZFM but Ive not had any burning taste - I direct drip all the time btw.

AC is pretty powerful, the lack of taste could mean taste bud burnout, I have had it.
Just take a break from it for a day or so and then go back to it, it should have that wOw factor again.

That's my daily vape, and yes, even I have to take a break. I usually switch over to something mellow like Banana Nut Bread (which is AWESOME by the way). Couple of days, I'm back to my AC. I've noticed a burning flavor in my atty once and I don't know what it was as I'd never done anything differently, so, I just cleaned the atty out good (ultrasonic unit I just got) put on a fresh cart...No problem.

Don't know what it could be, maybe some foreign gunk got in there. Bizarre. But the solution worked just fine.

Yeah, I've found that when I've done AC and nothing but for days [coughweeks] on end I can end up with flavor fatigue and it won't seem to taste the way it 'should', but a break from it usually fixes me up.

Better half says it the only flavor she can smell and she can tell for 2-3 hours a slight odor in the room..maybe it affects the nose more and has more volatiles.

To get the full effect of RY4 I find I must nose exhale or combo.

Did you make the ZFM yourself or did you buy it from Scotty? I noticed with the one I made myself the fluid wasn't always getting to the atomizer. Think about taking a straw in liquid, hold one end, and pull it out. The liquid stays in place. If you made your own you might need a tiny V cut to help with air flow. There is a picture about half way through the ZFM thread.

I use the ones Scotty makes now and vape AC all the time. I never have that problem anymore unless the cartridge is completely dry.

Maybe that is what is happening. =p

This could ALSO be the result of an overly hot atomizer as well. Since an essential oil is part of this recipe, an atomizer that is overly hot could take the liquid beyond the point of vaporization and to the point of burning.

Where liquids shouldn't burn, also, atomizers shouldn't be taken to that point/temperature, otherwise, your attys go out too.

Me personally, when that atomizer has been getting REALLY hot, I either switch attys, or just lay off for a few minutes and let the atty cool down.

I've switched to a blue foam dart and no longer get the burning, so all is well. Cinnacide had nothing to do with the problem.

Atomic cinnacide was one of my first TV orders. I burnt out on it too but then by accident I discovered it is a great mixer. I use it like one uses ketchup. Add it to any menthol I am vaping. Ordered some basic fruit flavors, pear, orange apple etc, didn't care for them but add a touch of AC and viola! it all becomes real good.
