Question

Hello all. I have been reading the forum for a couple of months and vaping for just over a month. I have been using pre-filled and refilled carts. I am impressed with e-cigs so far.

I realize this is probably the wrong place to ask this question, but I am sure someone will tell me where to go :D

I am currently using Blu Cigs and I was wondering if their battery was the same thing as the 510 battery (or one of the others).

I would like to experiment with other brands of attys and carts but I don't really want to end with a bunch of batteries and chargers laying around.

Everything you need to know about your Blu is in this section of the forum!
Blu Electronic Cigarettes - E-Cigarette Forum

You should be able to find threads there with some suggestions for compatible batteries and atomizers. If not, shout out here and I'll help you look.

Congrats on your month of use!

candre23,

I have seen 2 other brands that look like Blu Cig, I didn't know if you wanted to add to them to your list. They look like the same system, but I can not say for sure. Sorry I don't have any more info than that.

They are 3Dom and Volcano. I have links if you need them.

BTW, Great list, it is exactly what I was looking for! Now to read the rest :)

blu and510 are different threads

Can anyone shed any light here? I now have read that they are the same and have been told they are not the same.

After a good deal more reading Blu and the 510 have the same thread. Mike1178, how old was the Blu unit you compared the threads on?

I have both Blu and a Joye 510.

The Atomizers and batters are interchangeable.
However, the fit is far from perfect. And I can't guarantee any level of safety for your devices doing this.

Here's a Blu automatic battery with a Joye 510 Atomizer (bottom) next to a Blu with the Blu atomizer (top).

The vapor production with the 510 Atty on a Blu battery is clearly better than the Blu atomizer. But, it's very difficult to draw off of reliably.
Also, the 510 atomizer on a Blu battery is no where as good as the 510 on it's intended battery.

Alternately, the Blu atomizers also fit on the 510 batteries (both Mega and Normal versions).

Top is the Blu atty on a 510 Mega Battery. Next to a 510 battery attached to it's intended atomizer.

The Blu atty on a 510 battery, performs a bit better than on the standard Blu battery. But, not much.
I'd be concerned about frying the Blu atomizer on the 510 battery myself.

When it comes down to it, if you're going to be buying 510 parts to swap onto Blu PV pieces. You'd really might as well just get an entire Joye 510 set. Because while both these combinations are better than the standard Blu PV, they still pale in comparison to a straight up Joye 510.

If you're concerned about size a comparison follows.

Top: Blu Atomizer / Blu Battery
Middle: 510 Atomizer / Blu Battery - Also note that a Blu Atomizer / 510 Norm Battery are exactly the same size as this.
Bottom: 510 Atomizer / 510 Normal Battery

I would only suggest getting all Dr. Frankenstein on these two PV systems if you're in a pinch and loose a battery or an atty and are trying to avoid breaking down and buying a pack of combustibles while you're waiting on spare parts to arrive.
Otherwise, stick with things as they're intended.
