I have a few questions about the batteries.

First, am I wrong in assuming that a freshly charged battery runs hotter (if that's the right word) when you use it? I've had a couple of incidences where I put a partially used cartomizer on a freshly charged battery, and it started smelling burnt after just a couple of vapes. So just checking. I'm being careful now to make sure there's plenty of juice with a freshly charged battery.

Second, barring any real problems, what is the expected lifetime of a Maxx Fusion battery?

Finally, are there ways to help them last a long time? Such as cleaning etc? I know about making sure that it doesn't get wet. And I'm very careful about that, I think. lol!

yes the batteries do run hotter when first removed off the charger, the 78mm battery lasts around 4 hours of moderate vaping and cleaning i just simply wipe the connection with a paper towel on occasion and sometimes use a little rubbing alcohol on said paper towel if the build up is too much. I havent had any problems but i'm sure Leaford or Toni can chime in and correct me if its wrong.

Thanks redemptION for the rubbing alcohol idea. What I meant about how long it lasts, is what is the overall lifetime expectation for them. For example, my cell phone batteries usually last about a year to a year and half.

Hey, I'm still waiting to find out as much as you guys are. Typically, these things only last 3 or 4 months. We put a lot of stress on the battery cells with the demands of the heating coil, which degrades them and reduces their longevity. But with all the pre-during-and-post testing they do, and with the new switch, and optimized airflow, I am hoping they will last longerbthan typical KR8s. But only time will tell for sure.

Thanks Leaford! At least that gives me a starting point idea of what to expect.

The sadly ironic part is, our MF engineer was the guy who made the original prototype for me, which I was then instructed to take to the other manufacturers. Before buying the current Trifecta I asked him if he would like to make it for us using his MF technology, but he said he wasn't interested in it anymore because he didn't think it would sell. Really, though, I think he's still a little ...... at me for showing the prototype to other manufacturers. And I can't blame him for that, it wasn't something I was proud of doing, but he who pays the piper calls the tune.
