close to 24 hours is unacceptable to me.....no more orders! I understand you had a new baby but you still have to run a business. I posted in two places on your forum.
I too run a small business, one with not nearly the customer service rob has provided to me personally and it seems nearly everyone.
You personally chose an inferior way of contact, he would have gotten your message had you chosen the route of email. OR He had some type of emergency; honestly after 24 hours you cut all business relationships with ANY companies?
I can't imagine you offer the same type of customer support in your business as Rob does if this is your general state of mind.
This forum is not the best way to contact him. It's a service he PAYS to provide to his customers to be able to have a general meeting place as consumers; for someone to come here, view, and get their question answered by simply seeing another user asked the same thing! Very complicated idea I know, I doubt you know much of the search function as you asked a very general question. Then of course for the advertising value, that might be worth whatever price he pays for this forum alone but regardless - if you run a business you should know that email would be quicker. Or phone. Not a forum; with no way of reaching him wherever he is, assuming he has a smartphone. I can't imagine a small business without one, you would only be hindering yourself greatly. I have a hard time believing Rob run's a successful business by always taking a day to answer customers..generally less than an hour for me. Probably because I contact him correctly if I want a quick response.
Do you run a forum on whatever business you claim to run? I personally do not in mine, but can imagine how not having a question instantly sent to my smartphone wherever I am; my customer service would indefinitely suffer. I am an eBay Powerseller if you're remotely curious on what type of business I do, I only deal with 20-30~ questions daily from customers and they would wait a day every time they asked them if they weren't sent right to my phone. Questions posted on a forum have no way of being sent right to a smartphone unless a programmer has chosen to design said IOS Software and I doubt anyone has, I do not believe tapatalk does push notifications for new posts..it'd have to be very customized by the user to work well.
As a logical human and small business owner I feel you're being completely illogical in canceling your business relationship with Rob over something so inconsequential, but how you spend your money is your own prerogative.
Sorry to come off as harsh but if you were a routine customer of Rob's AND small business owner yourself, you would know the posting of such comments publicly rather than PM's is bad for Rob's business.
(From your responses it looks like all this nonsense is over two questions that anyone with knowledge of google could find in .44 seconds..their cache speed is impressive!)
You chose to post them publicly anyway. I have never done this to any vendor and i've been treated a lot worse then 24 response-less hours..especially when he just had a baby; but you make it clear to me some people are just different, some people are colder. If you act anywhere near as brash to your customers as you have on this forum then Rob could seriously HELP your customer service skills.
