Hi Guys,
I'm brand new at this and just got my OKC vapor DID clone up an running. I did experience issues with mine and I was ready to throw it in the trash. The cheap silicone center pin grommet/insulator had split apart and I couldn't tighten the DID down on my Provari without it pushing the center pin all the way in. I think this is the greatest weakness of my DID clone. What I did to resolve this was wrap quite a few layers of waxed dental floss at the base of the center pin, where it flares out. This insulated the center pin and kept it from from pushing too far in when tightening on my device! See the attached photo's... sorry for the quality of the pics, but you'll get the idea.
On a side note: I wrapped 6 coils of 32 aw Kanthal, and rolled a CVS sterile cotton wick and the thing smokes like a freight train! I run it on my Provari at 3.3 Volts and the coils are holding steady at 2.2 ohms. What I like about the rolled cotton is that once juice hits it, it expands really well, so their is no air space between the coils and cotton. My recommendation for those who want to try this: roll the cotton so that it fits loose in your coils. Don't use a lot of cotton; a little bit goes a long way, however make the wick as long as you can.
Woo hoo! I'm not a new guy anymore!!!
