Hey. In my first online purchase, I mistakenly ordered only one straight PG 50ml bottle of 24mg liquid. Turns out it was WAY too strong (throat hit). Flavor is ok, though. After a bit of research here, I purchased some VG 100% USP to cut it with. Worked out great, throat hit is perfect at 50/50 and nicotine level is halved so I can vape a little more ;)

Now that it's mixed, the flavor is a little weak. Not too bad, but here's the question. Is there any readily available, safe, neutral flavoring agent that I may even have here in a cupboard to add a little flavor boost?

Please help, I'd love to salvage this big bottle of juice without spending any more money or ordering anything online at the moment. Not really ready to get into DIY juices yet, but due to the circumstances here I am!

Thanks.

If you've already cut all of the 24mg PG and are satisfied with the nicotine strength at 12mg, then you probably don't want to add a large percentage of flavoring which will further cut the strength. Most baking type flavorings aren't very concentrated and many have undesirable ingredients such as sugar, corn syrup, caramel coloring, etc.

Probably your best bets for grocery store flavorings are peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen, cinnamon and clove. These should have a minimum of unwanted ingredients but check the labels. Make small test batches to find out how much flavoring to use and give them a day or two to combine properly.

Other possibilities are Lorann flavorings from a store which carries candy making supplies. and Tasty Puff flavoring from a smoke shop.

What was the original flavor? If it was just plain unflavored then we have an open pallet. If it was banana then there are some things that would probably taste like poop with it. See if there is a cake/candy supply store in your town. Look there for Lorann's candy oils (misnomer - most of them do not contain oil). Look at the stickies for content listings. Assuming you find one and think the flavors would work well together then start off with just a small amount of your now cut down juice. Don't risk the whole bottle to a flavoring mistake. Take a 2-3 ml sample and try adding just a couple of drops. Heat the bottle closed in some hot water and then shake it. Is it close to what you want? Super. Leave it alone. In the next couple of days it will keep getting sweeter and stronger all on its own. My first experiment was adding mango flavor to some apricot that I thought did not taste like anything. First day -good, really good. One week later I had to pitch the last 5ml of my bottle because it was so freaking sweet and strong. Just start small. The big bottle will wait. Besides, who wants just one juice to vape for the rest of their lives? (other than the boba's bounty zombies.... I like it too:))

I was able to find Lorann's flavorings at a Party Plus Store in my area. I found 8 different flavors and made sure they were usable by checking the list here in the forums. I grabbed one that is cinnamon oil and I dont think I can use it. Still researching that :) I really want some cinnamon flavor so will probably have to order it online.
Scubabatdan uses oils in some of his juices. Search around. He does not go for a very high percentage and thins them with everclear first.

I use oils, it's not a problem, provided you treat them right.

Oils have to used sparingly. If you are getting close to 10% of flavoring, you don't want to go further. (It will do silly stuff to the atty.)

Now, mixing is a bit difficult. If it is a really light % then lots of mixing will do. I use an aquarium pump, a cheap one.

Otherwise PGA mixed with the flavoring before adding anything else will help. Then mix like above. It will be cloudy until it mixes well. Watch for seperation.

So, if you're feeling a bit brave, try your cinn oil at 2% and see how it goes.

(I don't use cinn oil as the water soluble flavorings of that type work well for me. There are some oils that I have not found anything to sub for.)
