matcas, you may want to check this out: Kanger Protank Leaking issues.

Well I have been using it 3 days great but today I have noticed leakage at the top of the bottom seal right above the kanger logo. It's not bad if you don't mess with it but after a refill and you tighten it there is juice sepage where the glass meets the metal vapes like a champ otherwise.

Atomizer head update:

I've been using (and enjoying the bejesus out of) my Protank exclusively since Saturday afternoon (March 16th). This morning (March 21st), I got a couple burnt vapes. The coil has gone to coil heaven. That's a total of 4.5 days of use. That lifespan seems a bit short to me, but it partied harder than Keith Richards. Live fast, die young.

The death of this coil was a bit upsetting considering replacement heads are hard to come by. A little light bulb went on inside my pea-brain as I was installing the other head that came with the Protank...

"HALLELUJAH HOLY S#!T...these things are rebuildable!"

Moments later, I was on Amazon ordering silica wick and Kanthal wire and neato little pliers and wire cutters. That stuff should be on my doorstep sometime Saturday, at which time my clumsy ham hands will attempt to rebiuld the Protank coil. I'll post pics of my shoddy half-drunk work as soon as I'm finished.

Is there any where else to purchase authentic Protanks aside from Sunvapers? Seems like they are constantly out of stock.
Hi - it isn't that they are "constantly out of stock" the Protank has just been released. The owner of Sun-Vapers worked with Kanger on the design, so logically, received the first shipment - which I've read wasn't large. With the way they sold out, I'm sure it won't be long before more are in stock. A company called Quantum Vapor (or something like that) is taking pre-orders with delivery expected around April 10th, I imagine Sun-Vapers will have them around that time as well.

Also since Im still new to this, aside from my Ego-T battery and the protank, is there anything else I would need to start vaping? I already have tons of liquid. LOL.

ETA: You haven't tried anything else? Most systems available can be used on an eGo-T: cartomizers, clearomizers (including Stardust-types, Vivi Mini Novas, Kangers), BCC's like the EVOD, carto tanks...

Is it totally fried or can you just wash and dry burn it to clean the coil that's what I'm going to do.

lil mini wicks - bout 1/2 inch long, they sit on the bottom of the tank and are always saturated. about to take the top one off as per pbsuerdo's advice. no idea what it does but if the fat italian says to do it it's worth a shot.

I'm using a T3 (that I really like) while awaiting delivery of a Pro Tank. Last time I cleaned and dry burned, I removed one of the "flavor" wicks. Completely flooded! Replaced all "flavor" wicks with one 3mm one. Works perfectly now. I would imagine the same thing could happen with the Pro Tank. I am more interested in taste than clouds of vapor, so the design of the Kanger bottom coil works well for me. I have no gurgle problems, but refill when 2/3 empty.

I've been wondering if that would work. Will try it on my T3s as they tend to gurgle often. Now I just need some 3mm wick...

keep us updated, I'm looking at both the iclear 30 and protank for future purchases!

I have both the iClear 30 and the Protank. They both perform well. Either one is a good choice. The Protank to me, is a step above in both flavor and vapor production. You can get a warmer vape obviously with the iClear. I have experienced slight juice leakage with the iClear and none so far with the Protank. The Protank has an airier draw but it is a small concern to me. The flavor is so much better with the Protank that I use it constantly now. I give the Protank a 9.5 and the iClear 30 a 8.

I concur with darkhood's praise. It's freaking awesome. My other clearos haven't seen the light of day since my Protanks arrived.

Anyone wanna buy a bunch of lightly used T3s, Vape Only BCCs and Vivi Novas?

Wow, even better than the Vapeonly BCC? I just got mine the other day and I'm happy as hell with it. Might have to look into this Protank and see what all the fuss is about...

I have been using mine for two days and so far I like it better than the, I30's, BCC and Vivi Nova's too.
other than one episode of gurgling and leaking it has been perfect. I don't know what caused it but I changed heads and it has worked perfect ever since. I have three more and 15 coil heads coming so when they get here I will experiment with it a little more. Right now I don't want to mess up a perfect vape!
