Okay - it's going on 3 hours of chain-vaping* and I'm still impressed. Not one dry hit or leak or need to tip. Except for the airy draw (I might need two band aids) it's as good as my carto tanks. I'm curious to see how it will be when I change flavors and how long the heads last.

I just switched flavors with my protank and all is well it cleans out really easy with warm water and I just used my other head for the new flavor, still loving this thing and now I wish I didn't buy all this other crap A.K.A. t2's, mini nova's, boge carto's. I would trade them all for another protank or just a pack of heads for one.

I shall not buy until someone makes a video of it being rebuilt I say.

I don't understand rebuilding. When replacement heads are on pre-order for $1.99, would a rebuild potentially improve the vape enough to be cost effective and worth the hassle?

I have never regretted one step of my journey. It's been a lot of trial and error, but I don't smoke cigarettes anymore.(!) (And besides, the Protank wasn't available when you bought all the other stuff.)

I just enjoy doing it. I do it with novas and my rebuildable drippers. The savings do add up after a while. I have no hobbies other than vaping so it keeps me busy and the I feel a sense of accomplishment after a build. The coils I build for the nova do perform better than stock.

True I guess I don't regret it either it was a learning experience. By the way I have a half pack of smokes in my car and for no reason I smoked 1 today. My first in 2 months and it was stale. I think I just needed a reminder that they don't taste as good as vapor. Don't tell my family though they would be very disappointed.

I've never tried cartos and would like to avoid them, so it's really great to hear a carto user find a clearo to be just as good. Rebuilding ain't in my wheelhouse when pre-built replacement coil units are $2 a piece. Eyes too old for that, and I know from existing experience that a coil is going to last me at least a week, on average. I admire those that like to re-wick and re-coil their own but it's not for me. Vamo might be here manana. I'm pretty sure I'll love it but I don't find one thing to complain about with the Vision Spinners I got today. They make my clearos kick ...., except for the T3 clearo, which may not ever make the grade.

Darkhood, you did such a nice job of evaluating the Protank, then.... well, I hope tomorrow brings better balance.

I shall not buy until someone makes a video of it being rebuilt I say.

Just watch Todd rebuild the eVod... The heads are the exact same as the Protank's with only two differences: The Protank head has a longer center tube pin (ostensibly to equalize pressure/vacuum in the larger tank), and the Protank head's positive contact is tapered a bit to allow more airflow.

Neither of these differences affect a rebuild in any way, and the process is identical between the two devices.

On the left is a Protank head @ 2.5Ω with coil assembly exposed, on the right an eVod head @ 1.8Ω

I got my Protank today and it worked awesome until I got near the bottom and then I began to get gurgling and leaking. I refilled and had same problem. I changed heads and now it is back working great. I haven't figured out what caused it yet. I was all set to put away all my Vivi Novas, Vape only BCC and i30 tanks but I'm going to have to wait now because there is nothing I hate worse than gurgling and leaking. I love the glass tube and hope Kanger comes out with one for the Evod for my ego type pv's.

Wait... the Protank doesn't have an Ego connection?

Getting something new in concept design etc is motivating. I re did and cleaned well all my devices I use regularly and filled ready to go. My best project was my all brass. Mortar I use a pink rubber eraser to clean battery contacts. They are copper. A modder told me that trick. I've had that mod 21/2 months in daily rotation and it was time to brighten things up, change battery add kick and new pyrex tank / carto and flavor. The eraser erases the one that results ( ring of darker) when used n same size a while ( telescope) I erased the whole mod! Brasso would have made it too bright. So that was neat. I swear it works better now. Anyway... The Pro Tank isn't expensive. ( was for me! ) im sure I'll be keeping it in my rotation

I thought pbusardo you tube vid said "Has a beauty skirt for the ego twist"

It comes with one - like the kind you can buy to make the vivis flush. It looks similar to the one on the right, but more tapered and without the big airflow grooves:
