It has a 510 connection, like a vivi nova.
OK, thanks. I'm thinking (maybe) that my Vision Spinners and my Ego bats have both connections? Like, larger male connection (outside threads) for Ego and smaller female connection (inside threads) for 510? I'm 510 ignorant.

You are correct that the Spinners and eGos have both connections. My mod doesn't have the external threads, so I can't use Stardust-type or Kanger T3 clearos on it without an adapter.

ETA: The Protank screws into the 510 connection and the thread cover (or "skirt") screws onto the external threads to give it a streamlined appearance. The cover is purely cosmetic.

can someone explain to me why the evod doesn't work on my vamo even though the vamo has both ego and 510 threading?
It fits, it's just not working ??

the stardust clone is working fine.
the mt3 doesn't fit at all :(

but Idc really gonna use vivi novas on the damn thing anyway, just wondering

I didn't know the VAMO had eGo threading, I always wondered about that - thanks. I think the not connecting right might one of those things I often see involving pulling the pin down - but I'd be too scared to try it.

It's possible that the essential electrical connection is not being made, in which case you could try to gently pull on the coil connection to make it come down further, so that it contacts the battery terminal. It's also possible that I have no clue since I've never seen an Evod and the pictures don't show the bottom.

On another subject, it seems just a tad weird to me that 510 has smaller connection threads to the battery than does Ego, yet 510 can accept larger drip tips than clearos with Ego threads.

Speaking of which: my kingdom for a perfectly cylindrical drip tip that's shaped like a cigarette filter. Dang the narrowing that's in the middle of every drip tip I've used so far. (Yes, I know such tips are available and I'll be getting one as soon as I use a delivery device that can accept it.)

These little critters take 510 drip tips. They don't hold very much liquid, but that's why I like them. I switch flavors around a lot. I currently have 14 of them sitting on my desk (five will fit in a medium-size medicine bottle).

Whoops, I meant to say: as soon as I use a CLEARO that can accept a 510 drip tip.

I figured that's what you meant, but I don't see those being made due to the overall tapered shape of the clearos (unless you get a vivi nova, which is basically a clearo). The Phoenix bottom coils I linked to are, in fact, clearos, despite being called "cartos" by some vendors.

I wouldn't have realized those are actually clearos if you didn't point it out. Even the seller seems confused, calling them by both names. They're basically a clearo with a cover. Might get me a pack, pretty cool (and inexpensive).

A number of vendors call them cartomizers, but I don't know why. They don't have any filler. I have some unbranded ones ("CE3 XL" is what they really are) and it says right on the box that they are clearomizers. This should give you a better idea of how they work:

Unfortunately, the one thing SteelJan doesn't say is that you have to get the air out of the syringe before you fill the clearo. If it has air in it, the air will go in first and there won't be room for the liquid. If you try to force it in with pressure, the clearo can be damaged - then it will leak (although pop might be a better description).

A nice thing (and a main reason I started using them) is that they are not made of polycarbonate and can safely be used with "tank cracking" liquids.
