Hey guys. I was actually looking into vaping unflavored 50/50 6%. Got a 250ml bottle from Nude Nicotene (they seem really good) and while I was finishing up, I noticed that they sold flavoring as well so I grabbed some Island tobacco flavoring.

Just wondering how manydrops I should put into a 30 ML bottle of Unflavored 50/50 6%.

On a side note, I am absolutely floored at how much more expensive flavored liquid is over unflavored.

Thanks gang.

Flavoring is a pretty subjective topic... You might make three smaller 10ml samples with 10%, 15% and 20%, to give you an idea of how strong a flavor you like. In that case, you would use 1, 1.5 and 2ml of flavor per bottle and the rest with your PG/VG base. But check out a calculator online, makes things really easy for you!

It's unflaroed 50/50 PG/VG 6%nic juice.

24mg = 2.4% nic, 18mg = 1.8% nic, 6mg = 0.6% nicotine. 6% = 60mg

As for your question, when you buy tobacco flavoring it really takes a lot of steeping for the tobacco taste to settle in, its not like bakery/fruit flavors which you can really just add, shake, and vape and its fine. NN tobacco is usually mixed from 1% to 2.5% , so in drops thats 1 to 2 and a half drops in 10mil of PG/VG.

Are you sure you know what you're saying? A couple of people hinted at it, I'll say it outright: Premixed ejuice is sold with an advertised nicotine strength expressed as milligrams per milliliter. Nicotine base is typically sold as percent of the total solution. 1 mg/ml= 0.1% nicotine. If, indeed you have a pg/vg solution with 6% nicotine, that's 60mg/ml, which is over four times the average dosage (16 mg/ml).

I don't DIY Tobacco Flavors so I'm Not the person to Answer this.

But I will tell you what I have seen. And that is that Tobacco Flavorings in General are used at a Much Lower Percentage than Other Flavorings.

So if you read that someone Recommends that you should Start with say 8 or 10% and then Add if not Strong Enough, this Might Not Work for Tobacco Flavorings.

I'm sure someone will Chime in on a Good Starting Point if you Post what Flavoring/Brand you bought.

6% Nic or 60mg/ml needs to be diluted before vaping. I myself vape 15mg/ml so for me it would 1 part Nic concentrate to 3 parts base (VG, PG, and Flavoring). If your not sure what your doing, my advice would be don't do it until you have a chance to do more research.

At the very least download an Ejuice calculator. I use Ejuice me up.

Not familiar with that particular tobacco, however:
Some will only need 2-3%, and some need 5-7%, and a few need 7-10% so...
I would start at 3%, or .9ml (best to use 1ml syringes for measuring)
This should be between 25-30 drops, depending on the drip tips droplet size on the flavoring bottle.
If it's a glass flavoring bottle, you'll need a syringe with a blunt tip needle to extract it.

So the NN site recommends 2.5% to 7.5%.

In a 30ml bottle, 2.5% would be .75 mls. Correct?

(Sorry for my stupidity)

2.5% => .025

and

.025 x 30ml = .75ml

Yep... Your math looks Good.

---

If I was doing it, I would Round the .75ml up to 1ml.

That would make it...

(percent) x 30ml = 1ml

=> (percent) = 1ml/30ml

=> (percent) = 1/30

=> (percent) = .033

=> .033 x 100 = 3.3

=> 3.3% of Flavoring

I would just add 1ml of Tobacco Flavoring to 29ml(or 30ml) of 6mg/ml and then let it Steep in a Cool Dark Place for 1 Week.

---

But Whatever you decide to do, DON'T FORGET TO WRITE DONE EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID!

Now make 3, 10 ml test batches at the same time.

one at 2%

one at 4%

one at 7%

And sample each side by side and determine which is best for you. Then let them steep for 2 - 3 weeks tasing them once a week (Tobacco needs time to mature). That will get you close to where you want to be in the least amount of time and at the end of 3 weeks you'll have your formula or know what minor adjustments you need to make.

Now keep in mind that if after 3 weeks they all taste to you like crap it could be that you just don't like that flavor so go on to something else. add more flavor to those mixes in 1% increments and steep another 2 days and repeat if nessessary.

This is Actually a VERY GOOD Idea.

Exactly and you have 3 different strengths that you can do a side by side comparison on and pick one that best suits your taste and go right into fine tuning it. Saves lots of time and fustration. You can also test the very first sample you make and determine if the taste of the flavoring is good for you. If it's disgusting then you can quit right there because no strength compensation is going to make it taste better (A skunky flavor is a skunky flavor). That's how I do all my new projects.

I'm thinking from now on I'm going to spend a whopping $12 per flavor. 20 3ml bottles and 2 8ml bottles of flavoring.

That'll let me run 1% increments right off the bat, select the best of that test then do..

1% above and below for a 0.1% refinement run on the second go.

I might even make up a test rack to hold the whole lot.

I figure in the long run it'll save me from wasting flavoring.
