I just picked up a VAMO APV the other day, so far I love it. Love the screen, love the ease of use, love the way it vapes, love the face. I also love that you can make it into a scepter. Endless amounts of bottom caps! (No joke, my buddy and I put seven of the end caps onto it. I'll get pics of it soon ;) )
But, I have a small problem. I've been running it along side my sigelei, Zmax, Provari, and Spinner. It's been performing about the same as all the others except one thing: I've burned out four 2 ohm DCT cardis in the last three days. Put a fresh cardi in the other night, got two days out of it. Replaced it yesterday. No big deal, you get bad ones on occasion. It happens. Then I had to replace one today after being three hours old. Typically, I'll run a 2.0 at 4.0-.4.4, they usually last five to six days. I vape a lot, so it's expected. Basically,is this normal? Flooding I've had happen, but never burning them out like this that fast.

I don't really know what I'm talking about tbh, but most VAMO users recommend making sure its on the "RMS" setting to better regulate voltage/wattage. I think you hold down right or left for a good while and if it says NO1, that means you just switched it from NO2, which is RMS. Make sure it says NO2 and you'll know you're in RMS mode. I've also read people complaining that it switches itself back to NO1 mode from time to time, so keep an eye on that.

I have a question and this is in no way meant to be insulting, I'm merely curious why you bought a vamo already owning own a zmax and provari? I was under the impression a provari was the be all end all device so while I get a spinner to vamo jump, a provari or zmax to vamo seems more like a downgrade to me... Idk just curious why some ppl buy more than 1 or 2 similar devices. Pls don't get defensive either, I have no opinion about it one way or the other, merely asking out of curiosity.

Better to have one and not need it, than need one and not have it.

There is no rhyme or reason to why we buy what we buy. If he wanted a Vamo, he wanted a Vamo. Where is the unwritten rule that once you have one thing, you can't have another?

There is no downgrading in vaping. I started with an eGo, ended up with a ProVari. But you know what? I still love my Volts. To each their own.

Hope that answers your question.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the RMS and mean there. I always run RMS on my Zmax and Sigelei, I might have it on mean.

Ohh, pfft. You're fine, I couldn't find a reason to be defensive about that if I tried! I work in a vape shop so I'm always snagging something new, no matter what it is. Testing, trying, experimenting. I love it :)

Reminder: If I recall correctly, the RMS setting will revert back to mean anytime the batteries are removed. Pretty sure PBusardo or someone mentioned that about the VAMO.

Nope...the only setting that is lost removing batteries is the voltage setting if you are using VV mode. VW mode retains all settings.

That said , both of my Vamo's shipped to me in AVG mode.
Hold one of the small buttons for 10 seconds to switch between AVG (N01) and RMS (N02).
There's no way to just check the mode you're in without changing it.
If it says N02 when you hold the button down, you were in AVG mode, but now in RMS. (You get the idea)

Wrong.
Volts will revert to 3.0 if set to voltage and batteries are changed.
Watts setting remains constant.

Hold up button for 15 seconds to change to NO2 for RMS - much more stable!

I started with an ego then to a mini lava tube then a provari. The mini died (after 45 days) so I replaced it with a Vamo and I just added an anyvape. I have the 3 big APVs all loaded and I switch off during the day. The anyvape has a tank with RY4, provari has a phonix raven with menthol and the Vamo has a T3 with Dragon fruit. Each mod has it's good points and limitations.

How do you like the Anyvape? Do you have v1 or v2? Also, in it's smallest battery configuration, is it taller or shorter than the ego? How about the weight, is it lighter than the Vamo in the 18350 mod?

BTW...I enjoy my Vamo in it's 18350 mod, got a vaporskinz wrap, so the grip is now fine, however, the thing is still heavy.
