Quit Smoking October 12th

Used gum till my EGO pass-through and 10 cartomizers and strawberry and blueberry ejuice arrive from freedom-flights. First let me say freedom-flights is a top notch high quality supplier and his quick response to questions is amazing. He has grabbed a loyal newb!

I am planning on stopping analogs forever, and I have said this 40 times before. This time feels better now that i found the ecig. It takes care of all oral attention I liked from analogs. I charged up the passthrough and got started fast and have not put the thing down for the last two hours. WOW it tastes like a smooth hookah hit and my GF loves the lack of second hand smoke, and lack of smelling the nasty cig smoke.

I have been lurking the forums since I quit analogs and am really excited at the information available and sense of community.


I have yet to go through the late night alcohol temptations that got me started up the last handful of times I tried to quit but I am hoping whipping out my new EGO in the cig huddles will starve my cravings and maybe help fuel some interest in my stubborn friends who smoke heavily!

Heres to quitting smoking forever!

Just to let you know, I tried the 'alcohol test' Sunday. If ever I was going to pick up an analog...it would be then. Guess what? I didn't touch a stinky at all and I do have a pack in the house 'just in case'...lol OK so I chained vaped my a** off, but, it worked....it really worked. No cravings at all!

Well done, John and good luck! I, too, have made it through the alcohol concern, but have noticed that I don't drink as much socially as I did when I was smoking. And that doesn't bother me a bit like it did when I quit 15 years ago and consequently quit drinking because I couldn't separate the two habbits. I was jealous watching others consume alcohol. This time it doesn't matter. Could it be age, wisdom, or the change in the nicotine habbit? Who knows?

I passed the alcohol test on my 4th day without analogs. I made up some low nic juice that I could pretty much vape on all night and not have to worry about overdoing the nicotine. To my surprise, it was MUCH easier than I thought it would be. After only a couple days without an analog I realized how repulsed I am by the smell. It's still way early in the game for me, but I really can't even imagine smoking a cig after enjoying vaping so much.

Welcome Johnnybookworm, and congratulations on your choice to vape and no longer smoke analogs. I was a pretty heaver smoker and the day I started vaping was the last day I smoked an analog. I went to longs to buy a needle (oh the horror) and couldn't find them anywhere so I asked the pharmacy and he looked at me and asked me why,

I explained the e-cig and he looked at me strangly then a girl came over and said her mom had one and thought they were cool and helped me out. (never bought a needle before) so after that experience I broke open the ego cartomizer with a thumb tack and poked a hole in the thingy and filled the cartomizer with 1 ml of ejuice and to my surprise it started coming out the other side , the atomizer side, is this normal? too much juice? basically why is it coming out the other side?

2nd question

how do you know the ego is charged fully on the passthrough?

Congrats jbw on your switch to vaping.

If you over fill a carto or fill it to quickly it can leak. Try filling it a little bit wait a little for it to absorb then add some more. Some people swear by the spin or shake methods to get the liquid to absorb quicker and more deeply into the carto.

My eGo pass-through the red light goes off when it is charged.
