For a start, I wasn't a heavy smoker. The farthest I've gotten is seven sticks a day.

Started vaping once with some eGo CE4/5's, it's not a good clearo so it went back to lighting up again.

Gotten some Vivi Novas, chain vaping for say, a month? Alternating between analogues, around a stick or two a day, then the battery got fried.

Went back to analogues again, picked up some mechmods, survive on alternating smoking/vaping for a bit.

Been busy for a bit and vaping just for nic fix, got into DIY to cut cost.

Found out it's habits, and gotten used getting nic fix by vaping.

Now resensitized to tobacco like before I even smoked, felt like vomitting like the first time.

Dependence on nicottine is dropping.

Is this a commentary or is there a question?

I smoked one pack a day for over 40 years. I'd tried various ways to quit: Patches, gum, lozenges, prescription meds, hypnosis (twice). None of them worked.

I made the transition from smoking to just vaping in a weeks time. I believe it worked for me because not only was I getting the nicotine my body needed, it was replicating the "hand to mouth" behavior and the "inhalation/exhalation" that the other accepted methods could not.

My quitting experience was accidental! I started with just the intention of vaping at home and in my car...I was still going to smoke at work. However after a couple of weeks I found myself vaping at work also cause it just tasted better! After that I just quit buying cigarettes and haven't had one in almost 3 years!

Good luck to you on your vape journey, hope you find what works for you. I am one of the lucky ones. I tried vaping to placate my loving wife, and with a simple ego type battery and Kanger t3 tanks, I accidentally quit smoking. I went from a 2-1/2 pack a day habit to just vaping overnight. I really wish it was that easy for everyone...

I smoked the equivalent of a Canadian pack a day (25 cigarettes), give or take, of RYO tobacco, for 42 years. From the day my vaporizer arrived in the mail (Feb 2), I haven't had a cigarette since. I'm another accidental quitter. I had no idea it was going to happen at all, never mind how soon, or how non-traumatic it was going to be. I have also quit vaping. It's been over a week since I took my pen to work. I never tried any of the government-approved methods of quitting, as they are reported to have an over 90% failure rate, and they cost a lot of money. I'm pretty sure it was being able to get my nicotine fix without inhaling burning poison that paved the way for me.

Hadn't been writing anything personal for months so it would certainly sound like a log. In fact, I've been writing a lot of assignment in the form of reports. My current setup was a really cheap one. Using an AW IMR 18490 (RM20), DS mod, a China brand (RM20), a generic RDA, drilled hole (RM10). Vaping at .7 ohms, using DIY juices to cut cost (RM60 a set) which makes about 30 USD, bam.
